K’Resh frowned at the Miss but dutifully made her way over to Kingstone. =^= I do not care for your human pronouns, Lt or K’Resh will be sufficient. =^= she replied with a slight air of annoyance. =^= Do you know how to use this instrument Cadet or do you require my assistance? =^= she asked as she handed the plasma cutter to him.

Lt K’Resh (CE)

As he was a bit frightened to have called her Miss, he was then reassured by the calm behavior of the CE. He looked a second to the plasma cutter and said =^=Plasma Cutter for industrial usage. Has a modernized regulation system with buttons and gauge for the fuel. Yep, I used something older but should do.=^= As he nodded taking the cutter and turning it on.
He would carefully start cutting the frame of the airlock, while a feeble stream of gasses exited the empty corridor.
=^= The airlock was unpressurized. I suggest using a force field to enter the ship.=^=
Told to Mr. Paron and K’Resh, while toggling the just cut door and then pointing a torch and the tricorder inside to inspect the conditions.

Cadet Kai O. Kingstone - Scientist

It was a small airlock, barely able to contain a person in a suit. What power buttons within that would control the doors that there were, they were dark. On the upside, the crumpling that was more evident on the hull was not present within.

At this point a beam could be felt from the nearby Endeavor. They had applied a tractor beam to the vessel, focused on the two ships. It was customized to be over the area of the ships, but anyone within that field, and still outside the ship would feel themselves pressed as though with a gravity field. On the upside leaping in joy was not going to set them off into space. On the downside it felt like a couple of gravities were pressing onto them.
- Wookiee

A call came through on the away team’s communicators.

=^=Kanto to Away team. I am initiating a tractor beam to hold the Golddigger steady and give you time to rescue the crew.=^=

-Lt. jg. Kanto, CSO

Torias heard the call came through and nodded as he felt the increased pressure starting. =/\=Away team to Kanto, acknowledged, Let’s get this force field setup, it’s only a small space, but we need to make it quick, I don’t like gravity hugging me.=/\= He managed to get out though it took some effort with the force of the tractor beam pushing against him.

Lieutenant (J.G) Torias Paron, CoS

The cadet took the force field generator, a small device, pocket and perfect for those situations. He would invite the team in the inner side of the airlock, while fighting the gravity, pushing against him.
=^= This force field, will ensure the safety of those inside.=^= told to everyone.
Activated the little device, a sparkling blue and semi-transparent wall was formed in front of the Away Team.
The Cadet would initiate the pressurization phase, bypassing the system, as only the half of the airlock was capable of pressurization.
The cold air was pumped through little holes: the one outside the forcefield would leave a white steam which began to crystallize contacting the vacuum of space. When the process terminated, the joint bulkhead door for the living area opened.
=^= Cadet Kingstone to Paron. We may take off our helmets, sir.=^=
Communicated through, taking the tricorder and leaving his helmet on a flat plane.

Cadet Kai O. Kingstone - Scientist

OOC: Nice

“Don’t get complacent cadet,” Paron responded. “Some of the ship is open to atmosphere inside, we’ll need to be careful” he said as he stepped in. Meanwhile, using his tricorder he began scanning for lifesigns to get a direction to head.

Lieutenant (J.G) Torias Paron, CoS

K’Resh took a moment to adjust as she felt the sudden gravity weigh them down. She was impressed at the Cadet’s knowledge as he worked quickly, he would make a fine officer someday. She did a quick scan to check that the forcefield was stable.

Lt K’Resh (CE)

The forcefield was stable; the area was limited in scope and the bulkheads assisted there.

Tricorder readings would see three life signs toward the bow and one to the rear in the cargo area. In the forward section there was no atmosphere where there was a pocket of atmosphere in the rear. All four were in EVA suits. Life signs were all stable, though not, shall we say, at optimum levels. The airlock would open more to the forward compartment where there had been depressurization and sealed from the rear.
- Wookiee

=/\=No Atmosphere. I would suggest we leave our helmets on for the duration of this mission, cadet=/\= Paron said to Kingstone. =/\=Let’s see what we’re dealing with,=/\= he said, stepping into the opened airlock, still feeling the forces of the tractor beam until they got to the inside of the ship. =/\=Let’s get to the bow first, see if we can find out what we’re dealing with,=/\= Paron commented, as he headed towards that direction.

Lieutenant (J.G) Torias Paron, CoS

Mr. Kingstone, embarrassed for his error to toggle immediately his helmet, took on it again with the same speed as he took it off earlier. He would still scan with the tricorder and follow Mr. Paron while mumbling words such “Atmosphere low, 12% Oxygen, 32 Nitrogen, etc.” and swinging the scanner probe a bit there, and a bit somewhere else, alike a dog, searching for some trace of drug.
Finally he stopped all in a sudden and found something interesting on a table
=^= Sir! =^= shouted in the intercom =^= There is a fragment of a crystal.=^=
Taken the scanner near the little fragment, he looked for any hazardous effect and whether was safe to take it for sampling: the composition of the carbon matrix was not known by the Database. But some of the characteristics of this crystal resembled a bit the dilithium.
=^= It is safe. I can take it onboard, Sir?=^= asked to Mr. Paron with emphasis.
