The hit of Mr. Corvax amazed Cadet Kingstone that with a non-believing face he was still trying to process that hit. “Or the chances were on your side, or this is hella ridiculous.” Said laughing confused.
“It’s pretty hard for a newbie to hit a 50-meter target, but good job Cyris.” Said with emphasis.
Took a look to his opponents he was dubious that Lieutenant Paron could miss the target, because he already proved to be a formidable challenger.
“Lieutenant, it is your turn. Show us your abilities.” Said biting his lower lip and crossing his arms looking with a serious face his CoS getting ready.

Cadet Kai O. Kingstone - Scientist

Paron smiled as he pulled back his own bowstring and cocked another arrow, keeping his posture. Taking a couple of breaths to line up the shot, he releases the arrow as it quickly hits the center of his target. “I have the unfair advantage of being in charge of security,” he says with a smile. “I’m more interested in seeing you two and your abilities, and I must admit, I am impressed by what I see. Now, let’s see if we can push ourselves and hit the 75 meter target,” Paron continued.

It was the last target. He did not wanted to fail as it was the hardest target to center. Taken his bow and walking down the line, Kai stopped in front of the new target at 75 meters away from his current position. Nocked a black arrow with red and orange wings and a silver tip in the string, he took position to aim the circular target: in the past he needed several tries before getting the center.
But nowadays Oliver had worked out for the perfection of his technique and again it was not that difficult for him to center the little yellow zone.
Surprised of himself, he thought to hit the red zone at his first attempt, but apparently the luck was on his side.
“Voilà, messier. Mr. Dominic?” Nodded to the other Cadet.

Dominic saw this and bit his lip and nodded”I’ll try my best!” He said as he set up for the next shot same as before. Once he was ready he took aim focusing on where the arrow was supposed to be. When he felt ready he released the arrow only to have it zoom right past the target. “Well then......I need more practice.” He said smiling

“You don’t learn something like this overnight,” Paron reassured the cadet as he watches the arrow go wide of the target. “Now, let’s see if I still have the skills from my childhood back home,” he said and turned towards the final target. The events today had reminded him of the training he had during his time in training for joining. He always excelled at the physical tasks, and he was reminded of the time they had a holographic hunt. Aiming at the final target as a small reminiscent smile crosses the lieutenants lips, took one last breath, a few more this time than the previous as he prepared himself for the furthest target. Taking aim somewhat above the center to account for the angle, and judging the artificial wind, Paron stregthened his stance as he pulled back the arrow, lined up the shot once more, and released. The arrow flew through the air, hitting the center of the furthest target.

“Well, looks like that last one was close. But I have an idea, let’s say we make this more interesting?” Paron suggested. “Shooting at stationairry targets can only give you so much experience. Cadet, I think I have a program that with your archery program we can make some more… harder to hit targets,” he suggested “considering I see you haven’t set up to go any further,” he added as he looked towards the cadets with a smile.

“I reserve, a bunch of surprises Lieutenant.”
Giggled, masking his little laugh. “If you have a better program, show us. Just know that my father loved to take me in the jungle of the holodeck and hunt some bizarre monkeys. It’s been 2 years since the last time I did it, but I guess I can get the levels of two years ago.” Said confidently to Paron.
Surely, Kingstone was a nice marksman and archer, but sometimes his pride was higher than the expectancy.

Would he lie to himself? The chances were even but decided to accept the challenge anyway, knowing that he might had rusty reaction times.
But what he had to lose beside a bit of his honor and a drink?

Dominic stood there arms crossed grinning like a wacko listening it was interesting to him, his father did try doing stuff like this back home but after the near death experience his mother became protective. Dominic smiled Even more”I’m up for a challenge any day!”

Paron smiled as he nodded. “Computer start Starr Romeo Alpha Tango 1, overlay with current running program in holodeck 2,” and as the cadets stood in the holodeck, the holodeck shifted - the targets turned into small moving creatures that go running into the surrounding forest that the holodeck was replicating. “So, let’s go hunting,” Paron said as he pulled up his own bow and looked for a place that would be good for watching out for the small creatures that had appeared.

Kai would look around amazed by the new scenario that appeared. “Seems like Katas VI forest.” Affirmed the young Cadet.
“Okey, now the challenge is, the first to miss a shot is out. The last one is the winner, okey?” Asked to both of his comrades.

The feeling of being a 10-years old boy got in his mind as he was in the holodeck, ready to hunt such animals. He would remember how many times, his dad made him win, because he was still new to the moving targets.. nice moments.
Then to demonstrate to be still able to take down a 1 meter long target, moving in the forest, Kingstone took an arrow and immediately cocked it. Closing his eyes, he was focusing to hear where they were coming from, and keeping the bow ready: One of the wild little things jumped over them, but with the precision and the concentration of a marksman with a sniper rifle, he draw the string to its max tension and without doubt, released the shot, hitting the target that was landing in that moment on its feet.
“Apparently I am still good.” Said trembling.

Having completed her check ins with relative ease and checked out her new quarters, K’Resh decided to wander down to the holodeck and see what kind of combat programmes they had to offer. She would likely build her own anyway but she was curious to see what they already had. Arriving at the holodeck she sighed and gave a scowl as she saw it was already in use. She peered at the programme specifics and raised an eyebrow, it appeared that there were weapons involved which was enough to pique her interest.

K’Resh strode into the holodeck and watched with keen interest as Kingstone took his shot. As he hit his target, she let out a congratulatory roar and gave the young man a hearty slap on the back. “Excellent shot Cadet!” she chuckled, her face actually showing a genuine smile for the first time since she had arrived on board.

Paron smiled as he saw the cadet’s shot hit the small moving target that represented a rodent, “impressive, cadet” he said just as the chief engineer entered the room. “Lieutenant, I was just saying something similar, sir” Paron smiled towards the klingon seeing the pips that denoted his higher rank. He had yet to be introduced to this officer, but from the uniform and the race, worked out who it was from the security logs he had read. “I don’t think we have yet been introduced, Lieutenant Torias Paron, chief of security,” he said in a friendly tone. His frame betraying that he was definitely physically fit for the role, even if his friendly tone seemed a little out of place in such a position. “I would guess your our new chief engineer?” he asked, rhetorically. It was his job to know who was supposed to be on board the Endeavor, and it was obvious he already knew the answer to the question.

Dominic stood off to the side mainly watching and learning from the other two. Dominic was a very visual learner he had to carefully watch the movement in order to understand it

When Lieutenant K’Resh entered the holodeck, Kai was surprised about her presence and her smile. It was the first time that saw a Klingon smiling.
Immediately he stood at ease, put in his back the bow and said: “Welcome Lieutenant!”
Of course he smirked a bit for the anomalous smile and though “amazing”.
