As the crew who were slated for the away team was getting situated they could feel the first effects of the gravity pull from the two nearby planets. The shuttle hatch was open. An engineering crewman with dark wavy hair combed back, a pronounced nose and cheekbones turned toward them. “Crewman Santini,” he said by way of introduction. “Shuttle is prepped and ready.” His accent was subtle but hard to place. Stepping aside he continued, “If you need anything I’ll be in the control room.”
