“I haven’t received much information, ma’am. I only received my orders a day or two ago and most of that was spent traveling,” she replied, a touch annoyed that she hadn’t been given that information. She did not like being uninformed.

“Our primary mission is to deliver supplies here for a project,” Cassandra replied, “I’m afraid there’s not much else in the details, that’s all the ship got when she left space dock. Interestingly enough, I got reassigned to her just recently myself,” she shrugged, “I would keep your department ready for any sort of problem, there’s a lot of crew transfers and switching about, it could lead to some problem cropping up sooner or later.”

“Yes, ma’am,” Kate responded, again narrowly resisting the urge to roll her eyes. Playing Human Resources with a phaser to a bunch of cadets sounded like a living disaster to her, although some might think it a vacation. Well, she’d head to the security office next to see exactly what she was dealing with.

“Is there anything else, ma’am?” she queried, nudging the CO to dismiss her so that she could get on with her task.
