Liadra bowed her head and her grin went wider. “You are very welcome, Kanto.” She leaned in slightly in a conspiratorial manner. “Funny enough, that’s all I ever try to do here. If I can be helpful, then I’m doing something right,” she said with a wink of a grey eye.

Kanto picked up on the wink, but was slightly confused. Maybe he really did need this ‘experiment’ to help him better understand the subtleties of emotion…

“Now, anything else you want to discuss?”

“I do have a couple of questions about the social opportunities that are available aboard ship,” he began, “Other than the Holodeck, what kind of activities are possible? I really have not had a chance to indulge myself…”

“It really depends on what things you might find enjoyable. There are a few public spaces around, like Nine Forward, which highly recommend you spend some time in every week. It’s a good way to introduce yourself to others and practice what we’re talking about.”

Liadra paused and considered the other options. “I personally do like the arboretum on Deck Five. It’s nice to have genuine green space on a starship. But other than the holodecks, it comes down to signing up for social gatherings and activities post to the internal network, or getting to know people from other departments one-on-one and asking them to show you their work areas for a different perspective.”

“I mean, if you were really interested in trying something, I was considering putting together a dramatic ensemble, though I haven’t fully settled on the idea just yet,” she said , grinning slightly.
