Finally, he was on his last check-in, the Counselor’s office was only a short distance from the sickbay, and he was oddly the only one in line. Hmm, was I supposed to check in with the Counselor first? As he entered, he noticed that the atmosphere was more inviting, he almost felt relaxed. Around him there were floral arrangements in colorful vases, the furniture also appeared to be non-standard issued, actually plush. He also noticed that the light fixtures were brass and fashioned into multiple styles. Finally, he found himself standing in front of the counselor, “Cadet Wiley reporting, Ma’am.”

OOC: Welcome aboard! Just a couple notes as you get settled: don’t forget to sign off at the end of each post. I’ve done it above as an example (name, rank and position/dept). Secondly, normally, just like we wouldn’t assume anything about another person’s character, we try to not assume much about another person’s space. Since Liadra has been on the ship a little while now and her office is fairly well established, describing it for me would be a no-no. But I love that you are using description and so I can make this work for us. I’m simply going to assume for this thread that there is a reception area before you actually get into the individual offices (with the assumption that there is more than one counsellor on a ship this busy and Liadra manages any assistants).

The dark haired ensign turned and smiled at John. “Good day!” she greeted. “I’m not actually a counsellor, just an assistant but Dr. Liadra should be available in a couple minutes if you want to have a seat,” she said, gesturing to one of the plush chairs in the waiting area.

“Actually,” I’m free,” a cheery sounding woman said as she came out of one of the offices. She was very clearly Denobulan from her ridges and colouring and her grey eyes were piercing as she took in the cadet. But just in case one might think her overly serious, her normally blond hair was dyed a pale pink. “I have some time if you want to coe with me.”
