Unlike others, Vheris had not issue with the mandatory physicals required for a boarding member of any crew. She found that they made sense, despite the general displeasure that came when their hated name was spoken. She couldn’t say that she enjoyed them, but at least it wasn’t such a hassle to get her to go through one.

Stepping through the doors of the Sickbay, Vheris scanned the room for any sign of an unoccupied Doctor. She didn’t want to say anything, in case a doctor happened to be busy. Thus, until she found one that appeared without work, or one noticed her, she kept looking. Yes, perhaps it wasn’t the most effective matter, although it kept her from the awkwardness of asking.

Suddenly a green skinned woman walked by, almost seeming not to notice Vheris, walking right past her. Then she stopped and turned back towards the other woman.

“I’m Lieutenant Marlene Judas, the Chief Medical Officer here,” She said. “Is there something I can do for you?”

“Yes, hello, Doctor.” The Andorian inclined her head, slightly. She could not comprehend the green tint of the officer’s skin, as it appeared only a variation of grey to her. “I am Lieutenant Eshrallias Vheris, here to have a board physical done, should you have the time.” Her voice was chilly, with the nature illmanner of her people.

“Well hello,” Marlene said. “Please take a seat, I will take care of you right away.”

Following the new CSO to the bio bed, Marlene pulled out her tricorder and began her scans. “Please let me know if there is anything in your medical history I should be aware of.”

“Besides suffering from colourblindness and hearing issues, no.” Eshrallias compensated for her hearing loss with internal hearing aids, which allowed her to understand what was being said to her, just as anyone else would.

Marlene nodded. “Have you ever considered any corrective measures for your auditory issues?” She asked. Some people preferred the implants and letting the machinery do its work. The colorblindness was also something that could be corrected as well, but she would tackle one issue at a time. Patients usually had reasons why they left their issues untreated.

“I have corrective implants that are repaired regularly, in case of faultiness. I have considered the path of correcting my auditory issues with surgery, however I haven’t had to time to actually get around to that.” The woman admitted. She had reason behind keeping her colourblindess, but her hearing loss was merely a matter of time and ability to get into someone who would perform it.

“Fascinating,” Marlene said dryly. She wouldn’t press the issue further unless the patient wished to discuss it more.

“Certainly. It is worthy of further consideration, at a later date.” Vheris inclined her head.

Making a few notes on the PaDD, Marlene then casually set it aside. “I have cleared you for duty. Thank you for stopping by.”

“Thank you, Doctor.” She rose to her feet, straightening her uniform. She clasped her hands behind her back. “Have a pleasant day.”

Without another word, she silently dipped her head and left.
