AJ looked around and he took the seat closest to him, “I am cadet AJ Spicer report for my evaluation”.

AJ looked down at the floor he had never been very good at expressing himself, in the past had been referred to as almost vulcan he had never good at talking and this had him in a conflict inside his own head.

“Well, hello AJ. Welcome to the Endeavour!” she said, still standing. “Now, I’ve got myself a nice cup of Zaldan spiced tea. May I get you anything before we settle in to chat?” she asked, her demeanour open and relaxed. In these first moments, it was all about making sure there was a modicum of trust before they got into anything. After all, she wasn’t here to pick them apart and her goal was simply to make sure they would be able to serve and that they felt comfortable enough with her to come to her if they needed anything. Even if it was just as a sounding board, then she was doing her job.

“Hi I mean hello and thank you”. AJ felt a bit at more at ease and was determined to be as open as he can.

Upon hearing the offer of a beverage AJ knew he had better reply “Ummm no thank you I will be fine” AJ was now calming down a bit, he was still slightly nervous.

“Alright then,” she said with a warm smile before taking one of the arm chairs. Liadra took a moment to sip her hot tea and let it warm her body.

“So, tell me something about yourself that wouldn’t be in your file,” the counsellor said with almost a mischievous glint in her eyes.

AJ was taken aback by the strange question but as he took a deep breath and looked at the counsellor he tried to answer the best he could, “Well I am certain my file would not mention that I was torn between engineering and security, but I opted for engineering for the fact that I like the thought of keeping the ship well ship shape”.

After Saying ship shape AJ began shaking his head at his own poor wording.
