“On the note of getting it sorted, if it was my main hand it may have been more of an issue” Simon continued. “But if it could become an issue, and something can be done about it sooner to prevent that, then I’m all for it. I’ll bring it up with the chief. If he approves it, well, it’s only a minor thing so it shouldn’t be too problematic. Until then, I can live with the tingles” he smiled, looking down at the culprit hand once again.

Alex returned his smile. “Whenever you’d like to have that done, let me know; I’ll make sure to arrange for the appropriate butt-covering and we can have a party. Until then, is there anything else I can do for you?”

Simon stood up from the biobed and replied “well, if everything but that is fine, just the final ok to be cleared for duty, I guess, and once I’ve spoken to the chief we’ll see if we can deal with that minor issue” he added, holding up his left hand as he said it.

Alex tapped a few buttons on the console, to officially clear the Cadet for unrestricted duty and close his file, and then made a little mock curtsy in Simon’s direction. “Well be on your way then, sir,” she said. “You have my blessing.”

She winked at him and added, “You don’t need to be in any particular hurry to have that hand of yours fixed. But if you decide that you do want it taken care of, I’d like to be there when that happens. So give me a call, will you? I’ll be looking forward to it.”

OOC: Thank you for an awesome thread. I enjoyed that way too much. Also, you’ve now spoiled me for all the folks around here who post at the more reasonable pace of once every three days or so, so you and I are going to have to find a new excuse to trade replies ASAP ;).
