Mika checked the results with the old medical records, found the two implants listed, added her notes, and then set the tricorder down, nodding to the cadet. “Looks like you’re perfectly healthy! Do you have any other questions or concerns for me today?” She asked him.

Matthew hopped down from the bed, considering the doctor’s question. “Um… none I can think of?” he responded finally.

“Actually, yes,” he immediately amended. “Any advice for a new cadet on the ship?” He held his hand palm out briefly. “Not the usual stuff.” How to phrase this? he wondered. “Personal observations? Who to avoid, how to navigate the social maze of the ship?”

He grinned sheepishly. “I found on my last two Academy cruises that medical, seeing almost everyone on the ship, has a better eye on that.”
