Two down, one to go, Matthew thought. Medical was his least favorite, mostly because he had to sit still for so long. Again, he’d just had a checkup at the start of his last assignment, but again it was protocol. He’d had no injuries since then, no diseases, and was even up to date on his birth control - despite his lack of romantic liaisons at the Academy.

He didn’t have to chime in at sickbay, it being a public space. The door hissed open, and he pressed the check-in button on his PADD to alert them he was there.

Mika was the one to respond to Cadet Riley, heading toward him through the bustle of people. It seemed Sickbay was pretty busy that day. “You must be Cadet Riley, huh? I’m junior Lieutenant Mika!” She said, smiling. “Come and pick a biobed and we’ll get your check up sorted, okay?” She said, gesturing into the sickbay. There were a few open biobeds.

Matthew smiled in greeting and extended his hand. “Pleasure to meet you Lieutenant.”

He hopped up up on the bed. “Laying down, or… ?”

She shook his hand. “You too, Cadet Riley.” She said, and then she grabbed a tricorder and a PaDD.

“Sitting up is fine.” She said. “Anything I need to know about that may not be in your medical file?” She asked as she read the file on the PaDD. “Things like, changes in sleeping or eating habits, or trips outside of Federation space. Or anything else you want to ask while you’re here.” She said to the Cadet.
