The crime scene, such as it was, was fairly quiet to first impressions, a couple of champagne flutes, half full of bubbly. The piles of clothing strewn about, both men’s and ladies garments. Without running detailed scans it was evident that there were two people in here last night, but who, other than the XO would come in here? Who would even have access?

It took a few moments for the CO to respond, but when she did, the orders were rapid-fire and to her entire senior staff at once:

=/\= Davis to Senior Staff. I apologize for the abruptness of this message, but Ensign Janga has been found deceased in the XO’s hot tub. Commander Hilo, report to the security office with Lieutenant Rainns to interview Commander Holmman about his remembrance of the events. Lieutenant Rainns and Lieutenant McMorran, designate cadets to conduct a sweep of the hot tub and see if you can find any information to construct a timeline. Lieutenant McMorran, you are in charge of this effort. Lieutenant Zenzgii, conduct a diagnostic of the hot tub. Lieutenant Mika, I expect an autopsy report as soon as possible. Send a cadet to conduct an evaluation of Commander Holmman as well. Any questions? =/\=

He turned to O’Neil. “O’Neil, go with Dr. Mika to the sickbay to observe the autopsy. ” He then looked over to Anders. “Anders I want you investigate this area.” Rainns motioned to the room. “As soon as the rest of us leave.” He finally pivoted back to Holmman. “I will see you in my office momentarily.”

Mika nodded to Cadet O’Neil as she turned to leave, expecting the Cadet to follow her. And then, she headed down to the Sickbay without another word.

Kyle nodded, “Aye Lieutenant,” he said, already drawing his tricorder as he watched his Department Head move out of the door and down the corridor. He initiated the scan without a second thought.

A minute or so later CSO McMorran appeared outside the XO’s quarters, scampering hurriedly along the corridor with her red hair swaying and a tricorder in each hand. When she arrived at the entrace to Hollman’s quarters she didn’t enter. Instead she stood just aside from the doors, breathing slowly and deeply as she awaited the arrival of the cadet she had called in.

T’Mor had received the call and made her way to meet with Lieutenant McMorran. There where already a few speculations going around among the crew on what had happened. None of these stories were consistent enough with each other, however, to give her any idea of what to expect. She approached the CSO and stood at attention outside the door, tricorder in hand.

“Lieutenant,”she said, acknowledging her superior.
