Sharah looked around, “I don’t know. Taking in the climate we could end up with rock or clay, or even metal from the wreckage. First we need to figure out exactly what we need. That requires figuring out what’s wrong with him,” she nodded towards the pilot laying on the ground. She walked over and knelt down next to the pilot. “He’s semi conscious so possible concussion and shock.” She slowly took in the rest of the pilot’s condition. “Dislocated shoulder and broken leg,” she point to the odd angle the right leg was laying at. “No signs of open wounds. So that means we probably need something for pain right now. The information will be in the tricorder. It will tell you what you need to search for. We’ll also need water,” Sharah stood up and started looking around to see if there was a stream or pond near by. “Then, you get to start shooting. We’ll need something to collect water in and a way to heat it up.”
Cadet Fayth, DoctorRainns looked down at the tricorder and read the information it relayed to him. “It says here we need a flower called Earth’s Comfrey and crush it up into hot water, it’s purple.”
Lt. JG Joseph Rainns- COS
“Alright,” she glanced around: open meadow or jungle? Either was a good option. “Simply choose the “Comfrey” on the list and the tricorder should start scanning for the chemical base. There is no guarantee that there is Comfrey in this simulation. The idea is to find the plant with the same chemical composition and use it. So while we can look for a small purple flower that doesn’t mean it looks like that in this ecosystem.” She reached over and started the tricorder scanning. She moved towards the line where the clearing met the jungle hoping to find water. “Ah, great things, holodecks. In a real situation water may not have been so close.” She takes a few more steps coming to the bank of narrow but deep creek. “Good, running water, it should be clean. But now we need something to put it in.” There are a few options. The bank is more of a mud clay consistancy before turning gravely closer to the water. On the opposite bank is rocky with rocks and boulders of different sizes. “Looks like you get your pick. We need at least two containers, one needs to be deep enough to hold water. The other can be more shallow.”
Cadet Fayth, Doctor“Full warning,” Rainns said, walking over the bank, “I’m no artist.” He set the the phaser on its lowest setting. Afterwards he began mounding clay into the shape of a wide and deep container. After several minutes, he finished, and pulled out the phaser, firing a beam at it to heat the mound and, he hoped, solidify it quickly. After doing so he repeated the process, but making the second container much shallower than the first. After finishing he got up and took several steps back, looking to see if his new creations would hold up structurally.

Fayth shrugged, “It doesn’t need to be pretty, it just needs to function.” Her answer was clipped, but in a distracted way. She’d picked up the tricorder and was searching for the Comfrey. While Rainns worked, she wandered off searching for the plant. She found it farther downstream and out into the field. She gathered what she could hold and returned to the stream. She placed it in the shallow bowl. “See it’s not as deep of a purple as what comfrey is, and instead of hanging over it splays out. But they are similar.” She compared it to the picture in the file. She put water in the deeper bowl. It held rather than absorbing into the clay. Her face split into a huge smile. “It works. I couldn’t have done that myself, thank you.” She picked up the bowl with water and handed the other one to Rainns. “Now to see if we can make the medicine.” She moved back towards the pilot. She set the bowl down and began riping the pilots sleeve and then pant leg off and into strips. “I’ll have to set the shoulder and the leg. The flower needs to be crushed, or ripped, and then mixed with the water to make a paste like consistency. Then it needs to be heated.” Despite the pilot being a hologram, Sharah treated him like a patient, speaking soft and calm. Explaining what she was going to do. This part was actually easier in the holodeck. He was going to be in a lot of pain and she didn’t have to feel it. She braced the shoulder, grabbed his arm, and with surprising swiftness she popped the shoulder into place. The hologram screamed once and then settled. She moved down towards the leg and shook her head. “I don’t think even a hologram will hold still for this one.” The leg had no broken skin, but both the bones and radial fractures. Setting it would cause extreme pain in a real patient.
Cadet Fayth, Doctor
Rainns did his best to keep up with the doctor. “So what exactly do you need me to do at this moment?” he asked.
