As Mcmorran asked her question to Rainns, Greiss’s pupils shrank. He began to sweat as a realization dawned on him, snapping him out of his falsified cool demeanor for far longer then he was comfortable with. “The time! I’m so terribly sorry, But I have things to do… I shouldn’t have even come considering my tight schedule, and of course, I could not forget about…” His speech had now turned into nervous rambling indecipherable by an outsider. “I really must be going now,” He said, as he slowly walked back towards the exit as to not seem impolite. “It was great meeting you and I hope to see you again-” He trailed off as he got closer to the door, at which point, he turned about and broke into a sprint.

Rainns watched Griess with confusion. “Ok then,” He replied. Turning to McMoran he smiled, “I’m afraid I have forgotten your question.”

Cadet Joseph Rainns- Security

McMorran watched on in wide eyed bemusement as Greiss sidled and murmured away. “Indeed… Yes. I should probably be getting away soon as well.” She stretched her arm slightly, exposing an antique watch from beneath her sleeve, and inspected it briefly. “Aye. But yes, I was just asking what you’ve been spending you’re free time on while on board.”

Cadet Aili McMorran - Science

Rainns nodded, “Thats’s right, I do a lot of reading in my spare time, however short it is.”

Cadet Joseph Rainns-Security

“Oh yes?”. Aili craned her neck to more firmly inspect Rainns, her lips wriggling and her eyes full of amusement. “Would that be… philosophy, perchance?”

Cadet Aili McMorran - Science

Rainns smiled, “Philosophy certainly is one of the topics I read about, along with science fiction and history.”

Cadet Joseph Rainns- Security

“As I thought”, Aili responded with a sly chuckle. “Well…” She brought herself to her feet. “…it was great to meet you today. I really must get back to work but I hope we’ll speak again.”

Rainns got to his feet as well. “I certainly hope so.” With that, he finished his drink and left the holodeck.

McMorran nodded a farewell and tracked Rainns as he made his way out. After making for the exit herself, she paused and turned to inspect the bar. During her conversation with Greiss and Rainns, the remaining cadets had departed as well. The evening had gone well, on the whole, she thought as her gaze scanned the room. The bartender was serving drinks to a whole new round of patrons. Her stare held on the floor as she chewed on her lip, excitedly thinking forward to the following evening and her date to be with Mika. Her choice of meal would dominate her thoughts that night and she knew it. Giving the place one last look over, she spoke out. “Computer… End program.” The bustling environment gave way to the geometric structure of the room they had truly occupied the whole time. Aili turned and with a hop in her step emerged into the corridors of the ship.
