“Hey, what’s wrong?” Rainns asked, he could tell that something was bothering Sharah. “Don’t feel guilty, we both made a mistake, its quite alright.”

Lt. JG. Joseph Rainns- COS

“I guess, I’m afraid, of messing up. I know we’ll both make mistakes, but I also know I can ask you honestly about anything and I shouldn’t have jumped to conclusions. I feel bad about that.” Since he hadn’t moved his arms she laid her head against his chest and hugged him, allowing his calmness to soothe her and settle that ball of fear she was always dealing with. “I think I could use something to drink. How about you?”
Cadet Fayth, Doctor

Rainns shrugged, “I think I’m alright, but if you want to grab something I will gladly come with you.” He wasn’t feeling to keen to have any drinks that night, as he would need to be returning to his quarters soon.

“I meant, like a water.” She smiled. “Let’s just keep walking. I’m supposed to resume Mok’bara tomorrow as part of my shift rotation. And I’m attending a parkour, class,” Sharah shivered a little. “I’m not sure how that is going to go, but my friend is teaching it and she’s been very supportive and I want to do the same for her.” She glanced up at him, ‘’don’t worry I’m bringing my med kit. But you know, if I disappear, I’m probably nursing my wounds in my quarters.” She laughed at the image. “I have no idea what I have gotten myself into.”

Rainns smiled, “Oh ok, I can get a glass of water. Yes Cadet Trenton is leading that class, still can’t decide if I trust her or not. She filled me in on why she needed so much holodeck time and told me what she was up to. I think its an odd use of her time but if she wants to lead it she’s more than welcome to. Same goes for anyone who wants to take the class.”

Sharah shook her head and grinned, “I think it’s wonderful. We’ve been helping each other with our…social goals. And it’s quite the workout. I’ve watched her do a whole course and the strength, agaility, and balance required are astounding. I’m sure it comes in useful for her job.” Hmmm…was that crossing the line, Joseph was her boss and she had no business getting involved. “I’m not sure it’s my thing, but at the lower levels it’s a good test of my concentration and awareness of the present. And I wouldn’t do it, if I couldn’t trust Ashlyn to make sure I didn’t hurt myself.”
They were nearing her quarters. She went in and ordered two glasses of water from the replicator and handed him one while she sat down. “So assuming I don’t break a leg or a foot tomorrow do you want to have a standing lunch or dinner date?” They had agreed to make the most of their time on board and she was going to do just that.

Joseph followed her into her quarters and nodded at her question, “I can do a dinner most likely, unless something comes up, but I doubt it will.”

“You’re welcome to have a seat until you have to leave. Do you prefer to meet at the mess hall or elsewhere? Just know if I’m not there, you can come here and laugh at my pitiful state. ” She laid her head back against the couch eyes closed, already laughing at herself.
Cadet Fayth, Doctor

“Mess hall works for me.” Rainns sat on the couch next to her. “Why would you be in a pitiful state?” he asked.
