Slightly out of breath from all the running, Kyle decided to head back to his quarters and take a sonic shower before turning in for the evening to prepare for his first day as a (kind of) fully-fledged officer aboard the Challenger. As Kyle rounded the corner and saw his dormitory door, he immediately noticed that the lock still hadn’t been fixed, he tried to enter the room cautiously, so as not to wake (and, more than likely, aggravate) Cadet Trenton.

Ashlyn was glad to see that Ryan had graduated and moved on to his first ship, but this meant that she would need a new shift partner and this made her mildly uncomfortable. She worked on schooling her expression about it so it wouldn’t show so much. As per everyone else, she needed to be okay working with new people and she was, save a few accidental outbursts. The sonic shower was fairly relaxing, but she would need some real water soon. Maybe the holodeck had a pool program? Either way, it was clear that she either forgot she had a roommate or didn’t care as she casually strolled into the room to get in uniform leaving little to the imagination. She wasn’t even phased or halted when the door suddenly slid open, now she would have to report to Lieutenant Rainns that the door lock wasn’t fixed yet. “Well that’s a problem, welcome back, don’t be late.” The cadet scrutinized the door lock for a moment before pulling out a clean uniform to put on.

Anders groaned internally, And a good evening to you too, he thought to himself. Out loud he said, “Is the sonic shower usable? I could do with getting a quick one in before I turn in for the evening.” Only then did Kyle notice that Trenton was wearing a fresh uniform. “If I’m not overstepping my mark here, where are you going at this time of night? Surely there’s no need to patrol the ship?”
