Kyle had to think on his feet, “I finished my meeting with Counselor Korczak ten minutes ago sir, he created a fitness regime for me. Commander Korczak also recommended I go for a run before reporting for duty.” Kyle unpocketed a PADD from his pocket and quickly jotted something onto it.
“Cadet McMorran, does everything seem in order here?” Alli immediately noticed that the PADD did not have a fitness calendar on it, but a short message on it that read:
MEET ME IN HOLODECK 2 LATER, I KNOW A GREAT BAR?

Rainns smirked, “Cadet, I would bet my bottom dollar whatever you are showing McMoran has nothing to do with Fitness, that being said, I’m not going to micro-manage you, so I will you give the very lenient benefit of the doubt here and believe your little story. Just get out of the corridor, some people are working around here and don’t need a posse of Cadets interfering with their job.” Rainns surveyed the rest of the group and with a raised but not shouting voice exclaimed, “That goes for all of you as well. You don’t have to go to your quarters but you need to clear out of the general passage ways. Sorry to be the bad cop.” That last bit was a lie, Rainns loved to play the bad cop, and this was a great opportunity to establish order in a chaotic environment even in a small way, and the young man was taking it. Not to mention the corridor did genuinely need to be cleared out for officers and cadets on duty.

OOC: Giving yall an avenue to break off into smaller side sims so we dont end up with a holodeck thread again.

Of course, given the vagaries of chance and coincidence, this was when a six foot tall, black-furred caitian with a bajoran earring, in a cadet uniform with markings from the sciences division, came strolling down the corridor, a PaDD tucked under one arm. He blinked as he walked into what looked like a small traffic jam, overseen by a loud-voiced Security man.

He wondered if he had time to turn and head in another direction before he got noticed…

Cadet Satyol, Sciences

Sharah tried to catch the Caitian’s eye behind Lt. Rainns and nodded back the way he had come. She whispered to Oxton, “I think we better get out of here.” This was not what she had planned when she left her quarters to go for a walk. The situation was comical. She nodded bye to Aili and then she edged to the corner of corridor trying to not be noticed, and get away from the press of people. Then she caught Rainns’ eye. ‘Liar, you love being the bad cop.’ She turned and tried to head unobtrusively down the corridor holding back laughter.
Cadet Fayth, Doctor

As Aili read the message Anders had passed to her, she simply murmered: “Ah, ayeee… yes… I…”, before she was cut of by Rainns. Once Rainns’ was finished spouting his doctrine, Aili returned the PaDD to Anders. “Eh, um. Would you run with me for a minute?”

Cadet Aili McMorran - Science

Mara sat there confused for a second, what had just happened? She hadn’t fully processed the situation before she noticed Sharah slipping away. Figuring she didn’t particularly want to be alone, and Sharah was the only one she knew, Mara decided to grab her book and follow the medical cadet.

“So, where are you off to? Have space for an introverted engineer?”

Seeing the crowd begin to disperse Rainns smiled. It was good to see the hallway begin to clear out. When he heard Fayth’s voice in his mind he felt a swell of excitement, as they had not spoken in several days. He looked around just in time to see her walk down the corridor and out of his view. For a brief moment he considered following her, ‘another time’ he thought to himself. Seeing several of the cadets leave he turned to McMoran and Anders. “What ever it is you two are up to, don’t cause any disturbances, other than that, good day to you.” Rainns nodded at both of them politely. He felt a sudden growl in his stomach. “Forgot dinner,” He grumbled to himself. After seeing the hallway cleaned out in a satisfactory manner, Rainns proceeded to the mess hall.
