Trenton watched the video with rapt attention, wincing when it was clear the runner slipped or misjudged something but otherwise showing more excitement over the course. “This is awesome! May I ask how much longer until you complete the program? Can you show me how to add more to it as time goes on or if I decide to change the course later?” It was clear to Trenton that the runner in the video also had an interest in the course even if they were not into the art itself. This made it exciting for her knowing that someone else may share an interest. “Oh! I’ll also need to add a more beginner centric area. I’ve taken on a student of Parkour and I don’t want to intimidate them with a mid-level course with no place for them to start.”

Grabbing back the device, Aili squined at the screen as she tapped away at it. “Well. I have just transferred you the files I’ve managed so far.” Her attention was brought to a focus on the other cadet. “I’ll keep you updated as I get it polished. You should be able to copy it over and use the designer to add to it as you would any other program. I can walk you through that some time if you’d like. As for a beginners’ area… You could see from the recording that I’ll need one for myself anyway. This sort of thing is new to me. It might just be more challenging that the runs around the decks I’ve been putting up with!” McMorran almost felt on duty while discussing the project. She was keen to be well regarded by her peers, perhaps overly so. Helping them in their recreation seemed an effective way of getting in their good books, especially with the prospect of benefitting from it herself.

Ashlyn smirked at Aili, glad to see her just as interested in the project. “Well, if I can interest you, I’m also teaching Cadet Fayth after the end of the third shift but just before first. You should see if Lieutenant Mika is willing to get involved then join us and we can start a small team for Parkour. Get some more complex tag games going. I think it would be a lot of fun!” Trenton takes another large bite from the supplement bar.

The scientist took a deep breath. “That’s lovely of you. I am quite exhausted, unfortunately. I think I’ll be fast asleep at that time. But I will ask her for the future.” Aili glanced out the window, holding her gaze there for a few seconds before turning her attention back to Trenton. “Speaking of being exhausted.” She stood. “I should be retiring.”

Trenton finished the supplement bar and stood as well, “And I to shift. Rest well McMorran, and thanks for your help.”
