Kyle felt confident that his interview with Lieutenant Rainns had gone rather well. He seemed like one hell of an officer. Moving out of his Department Head’s office and into the adjacent corridor, Kyle took the opportunity to use a console to view the layout of the Discovery-class.
“Damn,” Kyle mumbled to himself, “Smaller than I thought, only 13 decks.” He realized that his next stop, Main Sickbay, was located on Deck Four. Once again, he flung his pack back over his shoulder and made his way to the turbolift. Minutes later, the doors slid aside revealing the sickbay.
“Excuse me, Doctor? Cadet Kyle Anders reporting for my boarding physical.”

NE Nurse smiled at the new cadet, “Hello Cadet, just pick a bio bed and I’ll go get the doctor.” NE Nurse left the room and a moment later Cadet Fayth walked into the main sickbay with a tricorder and PaDD in hand, “Hello Cadet Anders. I’m Cadet Fayth and I’ll be handling your on-boarding physical today.” She glanced over the PaDD to get an idea of his medical history. “Anything in here,” she nodded towards the PaDD, “that you are concerned about or want to make sure we take notice of?”
Cadet Fayth, Doctor

“The pleasure is mine Doctor,” Kyle replied, in the most British way possible, “Nothing too serious, I’ve been trying to keep up my physical fitness. Going for a run around Academy campus most mornings. (OOC: Ironic because I’m wheelchair-bound in real life lol) I am also a regular user of the Academy pool.”

Sharah nodded as she flipped open her tricorder and ran the probe in front of Cadet Anders from head to toe. “I do believe there is a group of cadets that run the corridors every day. And I’ve seen the security shifts running on their shifts,” taking note of his security uniform, “I’m sure your shifts will have a group that runs as well. We also have a full gymnasium with classes that cover a number of interests. As for a pool, I’m sure you can find a holodeck program to use. Make sure that you check the schedule though, the holodeck is very popular with everyone, so make sure to grab your time.” Sharah looked at the tricorder to see what the results showed.
OOC: At this point it’s up to you to decide if she finds anything
Cadet Fayth, Doctor

OOC: I wanted her to find that I have a bit of an overactive mind, I’m always thinking on my feet and solving problems, sometimes at unnatural speeds, basically I need to relax sometimes so as not to overwork myself.

IC: Kyle smiled appreciatively, “Thanks for the tip, Doc,” Kyle noticed that his native Northern English accent was starting to come out the more time he spent with his new crew.

-Cadet Kyle Anders: Security-

OOC: Weeeee Sharah gets to be the annoying telepath who knows everything again. LOL
IC: Sharah couldn’t place the accent, but she noticed it was getting heavier. That either indicated relaxation or increased stress. She glanced at the tricorder again, his thoughts were a swirling mass of scenarios that indicated a very active mind. The tricorder confirmed what she suspected. “Cadet your synapses are firing at a rather elevated rate, not dangerous but it’s causing your body to have a constant flow of adrenaline. And that is not good for you. It can actually slow your reaction times and ability to process clearly under pressure. Your synapses need a break so that the singles in your brain can travel directly to where they need to go rather than having to take multiple detours. I would strongly suggest you work down time into your schedule. There is a Mok’Bara class offered in the gymnasium at 0730 every day. It is a meditative martial arts from the Klingons. When watching it does not appear strenuous but it is. The meditation that is worked into the forms is also quite effective. I understand that the previous COS required it of his staff and strongly urged all members to attend.” Cadet Fayth closed her tri-corder.
“Other than that you seem to be in excellent health. A copy of this report will be sent to Lt. Rainns. I’ll be sure to note that the Mok’Bara class has been official proscribed for you. You’re free to go. Good luck Cadet and welcome to the Challenger.”

Cadet Fayth, Doctor

“Duly noted Doctor, thank you for the tip.” Anders considered briefly why exactly he hadn’t considered Mok’Bara before now, then it occurred to him that he was probably too busy thinking about other things at the time. It’s about time I did something about that, he thought to himself. Anders hopped down from the biobed and nodded to the nurse working on the desk behind the CMO.
“If I could impose on your kindness one more time Doctor, where can I find the Counselor’s Office?”

-Cadet Kyle Anders: Security-

OOC I’m just a doctor, not the CMO.
IC: “No problem cadet. Deck 3 near the briefing rooms.”
Cadet Fayth, Doctor

OOC: Don’t worry I know, I just had a feeling Kyle would assume lol.

IC: “Thank you, Doctor.” Kyle tossed his pack back over his shoulder and a thought occurred to him, “Actually, while I’m thinking about it, I haven’t got a clue where my quarters are, suppose I better get unpacked before visiting the counselor’s office.”

“I can look it up,” Sharah pulled his file, “Deck 5, 147. “
Cadet Fayth, Doctor

“Much obliged Doc,” Anders nodded his farewell to the medical staff once more before making his way out of Sickbay and back into the corridor.
“Fun one next,” He mumbled aloud to himself.
