Kyle felt confident that his interview with Lieutenant Rainns had gone rather well. He seemed like one hell of an officer. Moving out of his Department Head’s office and into the adjacent corridor, Kyle took the opportunity to use a console to view the layout of the Discovery-class.
“Damn,” Kyle mumbled to himself, “Smaller than I thought, only 13 decks.” He realised that his next stop, Main Sickbay, was located on Deck Five. Once again, he flung his pack back over his shoulder and made his way to the turbolift. Minutes later, the doors slid aside revealing the sickbay.
“Excuse me, Doctor? Cadet Kyle Anders reporting for my boarding physical.”
