Almost speed walking Joseph Rainns reached cargo bay 2. Walking in his eyes scanned the room for the cargo shipments, when he found them, he walked up to the containers and made a visual inspection of them to see if they were locked and if anything seemed to be amiss with the bio-filters and to make sure they were functioning at one hundred percent.

These containers had been forgotten about and not run through the bio filters yet. A containment field had been placed around them till someone had time to come process them. They looked ordinary enough, old, needing replacing. One of the containers had a spot down near the bottom where it touched the containment field and it appeared to rusted.

Rainns frowned and walked over to the bio filters and activated the bio filters. As he did so he lowered the containment field and walked up to the rusted container and opened it slowly, looking to examine its contents.

The biofilters trigger a warning and once the containment field comes down. UNKNOWN CONTAMINANT IN CARGO BAY 2. SAFETY PROTOCOLS ACTIVATED. The door to the cargo bay locked and sickbay is notified.
Inside the container are a mix of organic stuffs. Looks like old rotted vegetables probably from being left in the cargo bay for 2 weeks. The plants look like they have been eaten through. The bio filters beep indicating a report is ready.

Rainns quickly closed the cargo container and stepped back, he activated the containment field once more. He then transferred the bio filter data to his padd and read its report.

The report showed that the contents of the container was contaminated with some type of microscopic organism. The computer was unable to identify it with any other known microscopic organism. None were found on or inside the other containers or outside the cargo platform. The report showed that the organisms were all dead. The report indicates that the organisms are on the top layer of the vegtables but farther down they are untouched.
With the biohazard protocols activiated Rainns would have to wait in the cargo bay for someone in sickbay to clear him or he might be able to get the bio filters to scan him and let him out through the transporter.

Rainns examined his present situation, and walked over to the transporter pad console in cargo bay 2. He attempted to establish a lock on the infected Cargo container, =^= Rainns to sickbay, I have found an infected cargo crate that contains some sort of bacteria that may be the cause of Fayth’s issues, I’m preparing to beam it out into space.=^= If he needed to he would get an isolinear tag in order to help isolate the cargo container.

=^= Lt Rainns this is NE Nurse. Lt Mika is very busy with Cadet Fayth at the moment, but hold on. She might want a sample for testing and analysis. If you give me a moment I will set up a safe containment area for a sample in bio lab 1.=^=

Several minutes later, =^= Lt I have sent the coordinates and access codes to the containment area as well as the size of sample needed. Are you going to blow it to bits once you beam it out? You never know what space will do to those little things, butter to incinerate them. It might be safer not too, I’m not an expert though. NE Nurse out =^=

Rainns thought for a second, =^= If it works better for you I can just beam the whole container into the containment area in sickbay, it is not a large crate.=^=
