” I’m 4th generation Starfleet Aili people use to treat me differently, some still do. The best benefit of though was the travel and getting to see the inner workings of Starfleet along with the ships.”

“Aye, I can imagine. Some of my grandparents were officers too. My parents…” Aili let out a deliberately heavy sign. “They certainly weren’t. It can’t have been much of a childhood always moving around like that. I don’t suppose you had enough time in one place to make proper friends? It must have been difficult.”

” Aye very difficult, Besides my education and training my favorite thing was to look through the window of my moms lab or sit in my dads chair on the ship and pretend to do his job. Or even sit in my grandfather’s chair at starfleet hq.”

“Aww”, Aili hummed. “That’s cute. Starfleet Command? Was your grandfather one of the high up or was he just the janitor there?” she asked with a nosey chuckle.

” He was a Captain, my great grandfather was an admiral there. I know it was a joke my moms dad and grandfather worked on the Starfleet ship yards.” Looked as his watch, ” It was a pleasure lass.” Sam stood up from his chair and headed for the exit.
Sam had exited the mess hall and went to the elevator as the doors opened he had stepped in ” Computer deck 6 please “
Sam stepped off the elevator at deck 6 and went to his quarters for the night.
