OOC: Welcome aboard the Challenger! This is a good start, yet there’s just a few little things I’d like to point out, just to help you settle in. 1. Here in STF, we always write in the past tense, like a book. 2. To make it easier for others to read your posts, it’s important to use punctuation such as dots, commas, and quotation marks. 3. We like to sign off our posts with the character’s name, rank and job or department, like I’ve done at the bottom of this post. It just makes it easier to tell who’s writing in threads with multiple people :)

Looking up from her work at the sound of his voice, junior Lieutenant Mika smiled at the new Cadet, her short brown hair swishing around her head. “Hello! You must be a new Cadet, huh? I’m Lieutenant Mika. I take it you’re here for a boarding exam?” She asked. At just 5‘4’‘, Cadet McIntyre towered over her, and she had to look up to meet his eyes. “Welcome aboard, by the way,” she added, with another friendly smile.
