Sharah awoke feeling…like a wrong out wet towel. It wasn’t a pleasant feeling and she still had some slight dizziness. She looked in the mirror and shuddered. She looked like she was walking around from Thelusian Flu. She was going back to the Arboretum to finish the work she had started the night before. But first a sonic shower and fresh clothes. If an officer saw her likes this she could get in trouble for not reporting herself as unfit or too sick for duty.
She considered asking Joseph if he wanted to join her, but then she remembered their bet, and the fact he was probably on duty.
She smiled, maybe her friend, that word sounded nice, Ashlyn would join Sharah after her shift.
She sent a quick message to Ashlyn, “I’m working in the Arboretum on deck 5 this morning. It’s pretty abandoned and a good place to talk, if you’d like to after your shift.” Ashlyn wanted to help her, but Sharah was determined to find a way to help Ashlyn as well.

Sharah dressed and headed up to the Arboretum. She was hoping the flowers and other plants were doing better today.

Ashlyn didn’t arrive until significantly later having had two meetings to attend to after her shift that day. When she did arrive she was still in uniform and carried a mobile projection display under her arm. She spent some time preparing a presentation for Sharah to help understand the explanation she would be giving. “Morning Sharah, sorry I didn’t get your message until late, lots going on today.” Ashlyn’s mind was still the same chorus of noise as she set up the projection display. “Are you ready to learn some new mental techniques?”
