Rainns looked up at Fayth, ” Well number one, it’s a bot, not me against me, and number I’m somewhat distracted by what Trenton is doing across the room, so my mind is not entirely on the game at the moment.”

“Oh,” Sharah glanced over at Ashlyn and grinned. “Well I could tell you, but that wouldn’t be ethical. She’s nice, different and that’s not bad, right?” she said quoting his words back at him from the night of the mixer.
Cadet Fayth, Doctor

Rainns smirked, “There is a difference between different and dangerous my friend, and I’ve read over Trenton’s files since I am about to be her CO, and I can tell you, I’m not sure if she is an actual asset to this crew yet, so I’m watching for now to determine my findings.”

Sharah paused a moment to consider his remark. Did he know? Did he have her whole file? Of course he did, OH wait. “First, congratulations on your promotion. I wasn’t aware. I Know you are the best person for the job. Second, this is just about contingency plans right? You are going to be a great CSO. But,” paused searching for the right words, “I’m dangerous to this crew too.” She was going to have to sit down so she could eat soon. She wasn’t sure if Lt Rainns wanted her company. They were both in uniform and had work to do. She also wanted to respect his need to recharge his social battery.
Cadet Fayth, Doctor

Rainns shook his head, “You may be a potential threat, but you are fighting your condition, I’m not sure Trenton is attempting to be more cooperative with her crewmates or not.” He could tell she was indecisive about joining him or not, so he broke the silence, “As much as would like for you to join me I’m afraid I can only remain here for a few more minutes until my shift starts, so if you want company while you eat I don’t think I’m the best candidate for you at the moment.”

“Is that what she is doing? That’s what I’m supposed to be doing as well. But I prefer, or maybe find it easier to eat alone. We all fight ourselves, our conditions in the best way we know how. It looks like she is trying. I can say this, there is not a trace of animosity or uneasiness coming from anywhere in this room. Have a good shift.” Sharah check the time, then at her cold soup, and gave up. It was time for her shift. “Guess I better get going too.”

So much for lunch, but at least I can go focus on work now. Sharah headed out for sickbay.
Cadet Fayth, Doctor

“I should be able to figure something out, if when I have the time. It’s going to be a very busy few days for me but…”, she reached out for the PADD, “if I take this and have a look, I can let you know how long it’ll take?” With her other hand she lifter her toasted and took a sizable bite. She had been enjoying her peace and whilst the other cadet was being nothing but friendly, she wasn’t too keen to socialise then and there.
