Tristan paced with the flow of foot traffic through the corridor to sickbay. He still found the Challenger to be… deceivingly cavernous. It felt like he had left the turbolift on this deck hours ago, even if he knew it was only moments. Briefly, he glanced at his PADD to confirm the CMO’s name.

…Tija, he thought. He paused a moment to contemplate, foot traffic acquiescing around him.

“Bajoran,” he said quietly, “…do try to behave this time, man.” A wry smile tried to spread across his lips, but he wouldn’t allow it. He pondered himself in a the scant, black reflection of the corridor LCARS panel.

No, no no! I can’t be late! Mika thought, racing down the halls of the Challenger. She had been a Cadet a while now, and not once had she been late. At least she’d not been lost in some weeks, but she was determined not be late. She nearly ran into another Cadet, walking by the sickbay door, but evaded him at the last moment with a quick “‘Scuse me!” With that, she disappeared inside the sickbay.

Perishing the memory, he continued onward but found himself nearly passing the door to sickbay. With a slight huff and adjustment of his collar, he breezed through the door and entered within.

Once inside, Mika took a deep breath, to calm and focus herself. Phew, made it! she thought, and it was a mere moment later that Cadet Halloway entered the sickbay. As soon as he did, she turned around, a bit too quickly, and said, “Oh, hello. Did you need something?” After she’d said it, Mika realized that she did not recognize the Cadet, and that he was probably here for an eval, but she kept quiet to let him say it for himself. She didn’t seem to realize that she’d just nearly mowed him over, either.
