Out of the three appointments of the day, this was the one Matthew was looking forward to the least. His mother was a ships counselor and thought he was insane to go into security instead of the medical field. Not only did she think that, but she made sure he knew how much she hated his decision. All Matthew ever wanted to do was serve like his father and grandfather did as ship security, protecting his crewmates, the occasional world saving wouldn’t be awful either; maybe someday being Chief of Security or a tactical officer one day. Christianson buzzed into the office. “Cadet Matthew Christianson reporting as ordered to see Lieutenant Commander Korczak for my psych eval.”
