Sammi waved a dismissive hand. “Go if you must but don’t tarry. Your little engineer has been playing games with the temperature controls and when we find him, he may be pressed into service fixing the ship so we can leave on our own.”

GM Wombat

Lillian had remained silent after learning that all the crew on this ship that had been infected where in essence walking corpuses. It was the risk that starfleet offices took coming out in space but still it was a sad way to start her life in starfleet.
Lillian moved over to the XO as it was becoming clear the away team will be departing soon for the challenger soon.

“Thank you. I will talk with our Captain to see about getting the temperature controls corrected. And we will start a search of our own for a suitable planet for you.”

Max motioned Nijix and Anderson to move closer to him. “Once we have located a suitable planet, I will reach out to you.”

Taking a step back, Max reached up and opened a comm channel.

=^= Harkness to Challenger. We’ve come to an agreement. I will explain once the away team has returned to the ship. Standby for transport. =^=

=^= Harkness to Vras. Reset the environmental systems back to where they were when we arrived on the ship, and then head back to the Challenger. Harkness out. =^=

=^=Harkness to Challenger. Three to transport.=^=

Cmdr. Harkness - XO

Nijix nodded and moved where directed. Her eyes skimmed over her cadet as she stepped into place, noticing her sorrow. Quietly, she gave assurance.

“You did the best you could, Cadet. After the mission is officially over, meet me at the primary Holodeck and we’ll both clear our heads. We both need it.” Nijix said softly, flashing a brief smile.

As the transporter beam grabbed them, and they rematerialized on the Challenger, Max breathed a sigh of relief. It was good to be back.

He turned towards the transporter chief, “How did the bioscan come back? Are we clear?”

Cmdr. Harkness - XO

Lillian stepped off the transported pad and and looked at the Transported chef as she waited for the report about the bioscan.

=^= Harkness to the Bridge. We are still waiting to get the all clear from the bioscans. But we are able to beam out the remaining Potterfield crew at any time. We’ve come to a tentative agreement with the entity that has taken over the Potterfield. They have agreed to give us back the Potterfield, but we need to help find them a new home where they won’t be disturbed. =^=

Cmdr. Harkness - XO

The chief nodded as he looked over the data then reported back to the XO. “All clear sir. Seems the suits did their job.”

GM Wombat

Max let out a sigh of relief as the scans came back clean. “Thank you Chief.”

=/\= Understood, Commander. Report to Sickbay once you are cleared and update the team there on anything you learned in your interactions with the entity. Do you have a list of their requirements for a home so that we can begin searching? =/\=

Davis, CO

=^= Somewhere far away from anyone else. I recommend we place warning buoy’s in orbit around the planet before we leave. Otherwise atmospheric readings similar to what they were adapting the Potterfield to and jungular. =^=

=/\= Understood. We will begin a search. Update me on the status in Sickbay when possible. =/\=

Max looked at the two security officers. “Let’s get cleaned up. I’m headed for sickbay to debrief the doc, and I’m sure they wouldn’t mind your observations as well. But first, I need out of this suit.”

Cmdr. Harkness - XO

“I agree.” Nijix stated.

The moment the bio scans came back negative for harmful matter, she followed the XO. It didn’t take long before she began to remove the suit. Her hands unzipped the bulky clothing and dropped from her form, leaving her in her uniform. She didn’t enjoy the fact it limited her movement and denied her natural fluid motion. Her eyes found her Cadet.

Lillian was relieved to hear that there was no sign of that infection Lillian really did want to be a mindless shell for a plant thing.

“I’m proud of you, Cadet Anderson. Truly.” Nijix’s face might’ve seemed difficult to read, but her genuine feelings shone through. It was one of many cold, hard possibilities on this career path and her Cadet’s bravery was admirable.

-Lt. Nijix Tavium, CoS

Davis, CO (crosspost)

Lillian was glad she was still in the her Suit as The Lt Told her how proud she was of her and the way she conducted her self on the mission.
“Thank you, Sir” unsure what else to say she felt like a teenage under these conditions.

Lillian Turned away and began removing the suit so she was just in her standard duty uniform.
“So sickbay, I hope they have made some progress, the sooner we can get the spread stopped the quicker we can relocate them.”
Lillian was planing to make a quick stop by here quarters for a change of uniform and a snack then on to sickbay for the debriefing.
