A few minutes later the pad in the transporter room activated and the swirling lights announced the arrival of an individual. As the lights coalesced into a flesh and blood person, there stood a man of average height and weight wearing the blue uniform of the Science and Medical section. Brown hair cut in a regulation manner framed a plain face with brown eyes. Although at first glance the man appeared unremarkable, his eyes darted quickly back and forth taking in the room and it’s lone occupant, the transporter officer on duty, NE Frint. The figure stepped off the pad and walked to the console. “Hello. I am Lieutenant Commander Korczak. I am reporting for duty as the new Counselor. Would you please be so kind as to let the Commanding Officer know I have arrived?” he asked, his words spoken with an odd accent that the young Ensign could not quite place. Frint verified the man’s orders through Security, and then said “Welcome aboard, Commander. I’ll let the bridge know you are here. Do you need directions?” he asked helpfully. “No. No thank you, Ensign. I will find my way. Thank you for your offer, however.” the man said smiling. He walked out the door, and made his way to the turbolift. “Sickbay.” he said, and the lift began to move.
