Emmy resisted the urge to run off the bridge into her ready room, but her pace definitely bordered on a scamper. As soon as the door had slid shut behind her, she darted to her desk and sat down hurriedly, bringing up the file. Hopefully the information in it would help de-escalate this disaster of a situation.

The file opened up with the credentials. It was fairly dry at first, and in fact there were some sentences where the only word not redacted was the word “the”. What Davis could probably infer is the Potterfield was supposed to pick up a set of scientific samples from a Class-M planet in the Hromi Cluster and deliver them to another research station near earth. Purpose or specific origin wasn’t clear, but at least Davis had a place to start looking.
