Med Bay - Cadet Gartenberg's Boarding Physical

Adinah tucked a stray strand of hair behind her ear again and wondered, not for the first time, if she looked as severe as she thought she did. It had been an odd adjustment for her to live the ridged life of the Academy, but she’d eventually grown used to it. However, being on an actual real life starship was a bit daunting and she found herself relying on old habits of being overly formal and regulated just in case. Which, of course, meant her hair was slicked back and tied up in the tiniest bun she could manage and her outfit was so wrinkle free it could have been made of polished stone. That was fine though, either she’d learn to live like this because it was how formal she needed to be on a starship or she’d relax and get comfortable eventually. “Oh please don’t let this be the norm,” she whispered softly as she walked towards the medbay; She didn’t think her spine could take being this straight all the time.
Entering the medbay, Adinah took a moment to let the pure, unadulterat excitement of the moment hit her. She couldn’t believe she was actually, that she’d actually made it this far, and wanted nothing more than to just jump up and down and squeal about it. Well, okay no she also wanted to make a good impression so she contained herself and instead just jumped about inside her head.
The moment of excitement over, Adinah looked around for any blue shirted person who seemed like they might have time to help her. “Excuse me Doctor,” she stopped beside the nearest and least busy looking doctor, “I’ve just come on board and need to get my medical check-in done, could you help me?” She questioned, hands clasped lightly behind her back and voice a little higher pitched than normal because she was nervous but very determined to control it.
Cadet Gartenberg (Medical)
Turning around NE Priel, smiled warmly at the cadet. Her long blond hair was tied back in a French braid, leaving her Trill markings clearly visible. “Welcome aboard, Cadet. Doctor Tija is in her office. Why don’t you go there and talk to her. I know she likes to combine the first conversation she has with her cadets with their boarding evaluation.” Almost in an afterthought, she added, “I’m Yaba Priel, by the way. One of the medical technicians on the Challenger. I hope you’ll like it and if you have any questions, never hesitate to ask. I’m always happy to help; as is the rest of the staff in sickbay.”
