Lieutenant Vras’s voice came over the bridge’s comm system.

=^= Lieutenant Vras to Challenger. Commander Harkness has reported that Cadet Anderson has been taken, possibly to one of the cargo bays. He is in pursuit and Lieutenant Tavium is joining him. Are you able to confirm Cadet Anderson’s location and relay that information to the entire away team? =/^=

A few seconds later, the Lieutenant came through again.

The young officer who had been left in charge of the bridge when Emmy had stormed off to investigate the situation in Sickbay audibly gulped as the message from Vras came over comms.

=/\= NE Uhoh to Captain Davis. Ma’am, you better get back to the bridge, there’s something you need to hear. =/\=

A small amount of time later, the small framed captain strode onto the bridge and nodded to the officer to replay the message.

She looked at the cadets on the bridge with a gaze that read ‘why haven’t you done that already?’ and impatiently waited for them to verify the information that Vras had requested.

NE Jackson tapped away at the operations panel then looked up at the CO. “Ma’am, we are getting reports of steady health readings from all away team members. It appears that Cadet Anderson and Chief Tavium are both in Cargo Bay three. Their heart rates are elevated but they seem to be otherwise operating under normal parameters.”

Emmy gave a curt nod to the NE.

Davis didn’t respond and, at Keval’s pause, she felt her stomach flip flop. Her hand reflexively went to rub at the sign of anxiety in exasperation and she forced her hands back at her side, balling them into fists.

After a pause, Keval’s voice came through one more time.

=^= Vras to Commander Harkness and Challenger. Lieutenant Garth has given me a suggestion. If I can regain controls of the ship’s environmental systems, I might be able to neutralize the plants. But it won’t be pleasant for anyone unprotected, and I can’t guarantee I can isolate Sickbay from the rest of the changes if I’m making them ship wide. What are your orders? =^=
