“Mm, all right.” Obiah gestured her to a nearby biobed. They figured one of the senior Cadets could have conduct a physical, but this allowed them the opportunity to meet Davis.
“Captain Emmeline Davis, yes?” They questioned to ensure their assumptions, based on her rank, were correct.
“Yes,” Emmy confirmed, not feeling the need for any additional commentary.
“In the past fourteen days, have you experienced any abnormalities, aches or pains or been seriously injured,” they ran down the checklist of questions pertaining to her medical history.
Dr. Obiah Torrirs, CMO
“No,” came the brief, but not terse, response. Scans would show the captain on the slighter side, but in excellent health.

Just then a petite Bajoran medical officer walked over to Torrirs and Davis. She nodded towards the Captain and greeted her with friendly, but curt “Ma’am” before coming to stand right next to Torrirs. Leaning close to them, she whispered, “NEnsign Sorale came in with a bad cut on his forehead and for the past 15 minutes he has refused treatment. He insists that he has to be treated by you, even though he is losing quite a lot of blood.” In reply Torrirs nodded and excused themself before heading towards said Ensign.
Turning towards the Captain the young Lieutenant said, “I’m sorry about that, Captain. I hope you don’t mind if I finish your boarding evaluation?” Almost as if in an afterthought she added, “I’m Lieutenant Tija Aizala and the assistant Chief Medical Officer on the Challenger.”

“That’s fine,” came the terse and impatient reply from Emmy. Her only inclination was to complete the evaluation and get out of sickbay as quickly as possible. She inclined her head toward the biobed’s display, hinting at her desire for Tija to examine the results.

Without another word, the doctor turned her focus towards the readings from the biobed and the tricorder. The Captain’s impatience was palpable and the last thing she wanted to do was adding to that. So instead she studied the readings quickly but thoroughly.
Looking up again, Aizala fixed her green eyes on the Captain. “The readings indicate that you are in excellent health, Captain,” replied with the hint of gentle smile on her lips. “Doctor Torrirs probably asked you before, but they didn’t write it down yet, so my apologies that I have to ask again: Have there been any changes in changes in your appetite or sleeping pattern or anything else unusual lately? Like headaches or the like?”

Despite her obvious impatience to get the process over with, Emmy took the time to consider Tija’s questions thoughtfully. “No, nothing out of the ordinary,” she reported. Assuming that was going to be the end of the process, she slid down off the biobed, her hands immediately going to methodically smooth her uniform tunic back into its place.
