Hearing the turbolift doors close as she made her way to center of the bridge, Emmy sighed in satisfaction as the two cadets scattered to follow her orders. But now it was time for the part she wasn’t good at… waiting. Drumming her fingers on her chair on the bridge, she sat back, acknowledging that she did need to give the various crew members some amount of time before following up on their tasks.

On the bridge the distress signal ran in a constant loop for anyone to hear who was tuned in. It was standard, canned. It didn’t provide any answers and perhaps raised more questions. Why wasn’t the ship fully abandoned? Why wasn’t it destroyed? What was the motion detected in the ship, and what had the people in the Potterfield’s sickbay so terrified they didn’t want to unlock the doors for the Challenger to get in? It was all very strange.

A few more moments of finger twitching and Emmy stood back up again. She began to pace back and forth across the bridge before finally slapping the comm badge affixed to her crisp uniform top.

=^= Working on it Captain. Lt Tavium is working on the delivery mechanism, while Lt Garth’s team is working on the agent. I have Cadet Anderson working on getting gear for the away teams. Do we have an objective for the mission back to the Potterfield? =^=

The terse reply assumed that Harkness would connect that restoring power to the ship’s systems would give them the ability to find out what precisely had happened on the ship, as well as help to ensure the security of a future team that would try to treat whatever was causing these issues.

Emmy returned to her seat with a satisfied smirk. At least now there was more immediate forward progress being done.
