IC: Finally, their quarry went down. Nijix exhaled but didn’t holster her weapon. A small sense of pride rolled over Nijix causing her to smile at Anderson for her aim. Before she could say anything, Richards was up again. He launched himself at Harkness with primal rage and animistic behavior.
She was still a ways from the others to help. Save by shooting him.
“Anderson, get the hypo and make sure it’s set to a sedative,” she shouted.
She took aim with her weapon. Nijix hoped it would be better now that she was much closer and the man was distracted with the pain in his head. It wouldn’t take him down for long, but it might allow Anderson to get close and hit him with the sedative.
“Plunge it into him,” Nijix shouted as she fired at Richards figure.

Max slowly backed away from Richards, never taking his eyes off of him as he grabbed his head in pain.
“Once he’s subdued Lieutenant, we need to get him secured in a biohazard containment unit. Do you have a containment unit that can handle him? Or do we need to get medical down here?”
Max took a deep breath as he still watched Richards. He was going to need to get checked again. Hopefully they could figure out what had effected them.
Cmdr. Harkness - XO
Lillian lunged at out to get the hypo and made a quick check of the setting it was a strong sedative well she thought it was not like she had a heap of medical training.
“James Cover me!!” Lillian ordered him even tho she was the lower ranking officer of the two.
Lillian made for Richards who was attacking XO Harkness .
Lillian decided to go for Richard upper arm.
“Try to hold him there Sir so I can get this in him” Lillian hoped the XO was able to help so they could get him sedated and back to sickbay before anyone else got sick.Lillian Anderson Security Cadet
The hypo gave a soft hiss as the fluid entered Richard’s system, incapacitating him and rendering him a floppy mess.

Nijix had been about to shoot when she watched the officer grip his head in pain. Instead, she prepared to cover Lillian when she rushed forward, hypo in hand. When he went limp, the CoS relaxed.
She turned to Harkness and gave him her honest opinion.
“Medical would be a better option since we have no idea what this is. We have a containment unit, but there’s little way of knowing how or if he could infect anyone else.” Nijix had to point out their lack of knowledge about the source.
“So far, we’ve been lucky. That doesn’t mean everyone is immune to whatever this is.” Her fear was having cases of this cropping all around the ship. It would be too much for her security detail to handle and distrust would rein in full chaos.
“Anyone exposed to him needs medical to check them. If they are not cleared already. I have a feeling those crew members locked themselves up to prevent exposure. We need to take precautions to limit its spread.”
-Lt. Nijix Tavium, CoS
“Agreed, and that means all of us here too. We need to be screened again. In the meantime, we need to get Richards into a containment unit before he wakes up again. But we also need to limit our own further contamination. Did anyone grab some gloves?”
Max backed up and leaned against the bulkhead. Thank goodness he finally had a chance to catch his breath.

“Fair assumption and no, my office would have some though. But I’m not going to spread whatever this is by getting them.” Nijix stated, her tone calm and polite.
“Do you think sickbay fared better than us? I mean… the situation wasn’t exactly ideal when we left and I’m concerned about Osten.” She admitted, knowing he was pushing any authority that wasn’t hers. Even her own had been borderline helpful during the examination.
She looked to Anderson and smiled, her pride at her Cadet’s performance showed clearly.
“Anderson, you did well and are you, all right? We need to do a headcount. It’s hard to tell this ‘thing’s’ range for infection and everyone involved should be counted.”
Nijix glanced at Anderson, wondering if she knew someone she didn’t. Someone possibly missing from the group.
