Korczak listened intently but his facial expression remained passive and flat. When Paul finished, Korczak simply said “I do not adhere to the Freudian school that dreams are a reflection of our subconscious. There are far to many influences that can manifest as imagery in our dreams; including, but not limited to: stress, diet, weather, level of comfort while sleeping, temperature, physical environment, and the list goes on and on. However, if you are asking if I think the images are problematic, I would say no. They could be a mental manifestation of your embarking on an unknown path. One you know that could potentially hold many dangers. You are also giving up a life you understood fully in exchange for one of unknown possibilities and consequence.” and he cocked his head slightly to the side.“It could also mean you need you need more vitamin b in your diet.” and he looked at the Cadet to see his reaction.

“Vitamin B?” Grayson looked puzzled, squinting his eyes which caused a fair amount of wrinkling along the bridge of his nose, “Vitamin B is typically associated with energy, or cellular health. I don’t understand how a lack of Vitamin B could be associated with my dreams. Also, it’s a recurring dream, the vast majority of the details remain unchanged each time I experience it.”
Cadet Paul, EngineerKorczak replied “So the more pertinent question should be, do you find the dreams problematic? Do they effect your performance? Do you find yourself distracted thinking about it during your waking hours?”
Korczak, CNS
“Only when my sleeping hours become my waking hours because of the dream,” Grayson shrugged, “And, no it doesn’t affect my performance. But you know, this is a psychiatric…mental health check in, so I thought I’d bring it up.”
Cadet Paul, Engineer
“And it was wise of you to do so. How often do you experience this dream? Nightly without exception? A few times a week? Less?”
