SNIP“What are you doing?” Torrirs paused at the threshold separating the treatment centre from the reception bay, their eyebrows risen in surprise at finding the Cadet in his briefs and undershirt. They knew, on some planets, physicians preferred their patients stripped of inessential clothing to perform a physical. Starfleet’s advanced medical equipment rendered that unnecessary, saving both time and the embarrassment of the unfortunate individual.
“Cadet,” they leisurely approached him, “I assume your native doctors do not perform physicals as we do in Starfleet. Aboard a Starship, you are not required to strip to your undergarments unless you possess an injury that renders it necessary–in which case you would be in a surgical suite, not sitting on a standard biobed with your wits about you.”
“Please put your uniform and boots back on.” Torris, having no intentions of humiliating Paul, shook their head. “If it is easier on you, I can leave this section so you may dress in peace.” They could not prevent others from entering or leaving the sickbay, but they could grant him the privacy from the CMO’S watchful eye. If that meant anything to the young Cadet.
Stifling a sigh, they stole a glance at their PaDD, pulling up Paul’s file while they awaited an answer from him. This was certainly an interesting day aboard the Challenger.

Grayson didn’t particular mind being in his state of undress, he wasn’t fully nude. His embarassment was situational, and didn’t mean to be causing a scene with the Chief Medical Officer in her domain.
“I’m sorry Doctor.” He nodded at her, while reaching down for his uniform pants. “You can go ahead and get started while I put my things back on.”
“Thank you. I shall,” Torrirs responded.
He latched the belt closed and began pulling the top of his uniform on as he waited for the Doctor’s assessment.
Cadet Paul, EngineerHis file pulled, and a brief glance over later, Obiah had retrieved a medical scanner to initiate a quick reading over his physical state. They weren’t checking for anything specific, rather anything that indicated illness or other ailments.

OOC: Please include the scan results in your next post. :D
– TrinGrayson, now dressed yet still feeling all kinds of naked, sneaked a peak at the doctor’s tricorder. She was holding it somewhat open, and they were his own readings. Slightly below average temperature, slightly above average blood pressure and heart rate. All pretty normal for him. He was 22, in excellent physical condition, and a frequent visitor of the nearest available gymnasium. If his file contained family records, she might see the men in his family tended to be quite large, ranging from borderline obesity to significant obesity, but such occurred later in life.
Hopefully, he thought to himself, that won’t happen until much later in life, like after I’m an Admiral and I retire.
“So what do you think, Doc,” he said aloud, “Hopefully nothing emergent that would require me to take my clothes off again. I only do that once for free.”
Cadet Paul, EngineerObiah wasn’t concerned by his readings, nor his family history. It was not uncommon for a Cadet to come to them with elevated readings in heart rate and blood pressure; joining one’s cadet cruise was an exciting time. “It’s safe to say you’ll be spared any medical disrobing,” Torrirs assured, “at least for the foreseeable future.” Amused, they reattached the scanner to its tricorder and set it back on the table.
“As long as you maintain a healthy lifestyle; three or more meals a day, 67% percent of your body weight in water, exercise–those sorts of things, then you’ll continue to be in impeccable condition.” They signed off on his file. “Until any of that changes, you are hereby cleared for duty. Welcome aboard, Mister Paul.”
Dr. Torrirs, CMO
“Thanks, Doc,” Grayson nodded, smiling, as he turned towards the Trill, “And, I’m sorry again. I’ll see you around.”
He flashed a hasty salute and turned towards the doors, walking briskly out. Well that’s a way to get to know your shipmates, he thought, Practically get naked in front of them. Oh boy.
Cadet Paul, Engineer
OOC: Great check in posts, top drawer writing so far, try not to get semi-naked in your meeting with the Captain cadet ;-)
