Sinclair simply said “No, you haven’t mentioned it. What kind of nightmares?”

“Snakes attack the ship and take half the crew. Then I hear voices. I don’t know what they’re saying but they’re whispering. Constantly.” He took a deep breath. “It was the first time anyone died right in front of me.”

Lieutenant (j.g.) Casen CoS

“Do the voices whisper to you while you are awake at all?” Sinclair asked.

Sinclair, CNS

“No. The voices sound like, the crew. I think I can hear you, the captain, and Bills. It’s weird because I barely ever heard Bills talk.” He solemnly replied.

Lieutenant (j.g.) Casen CoS

“What do the voices say?”

Sinclair, CNS

“I can make out voices from when the mission took place. What Bills said before he jumped infront of me to defend me from the snakes. You’re trying to tell me something and the captain I can’t make out.”

“Do the nightmares interfere with your sleep?”

Sinclair, CNS

“Sometimes it does. I wake up in a pool of sweat.” He started to sweat and looked blankly at a wall.

“Can you go back to sleep afterwards?”

Sinclair, CNS

“Yes. It’s hard but I can. Am I going to be discharged? I don’t want to Sinclair.”

Lieutenant (j.g.) Casen CoS

Royal looked at him with a concerned expression. “Why would you think that, Lieutenant? You experienced an extreme emotional and mental stress. Many current Star Fleet officers have experienced far worse and are still actively serving the Federation in a multitude of roles.”

“Uh. I’ve seen it happen to family. It is scary seeing them return and having their position taken away from them.”
