Cadet Skene made his way to the next stop on his boarding checklist, to the counselor’s office for the obligatory psych evaluation. He would certainly be glad once all of the formalities had been taken care of and he could get to work. Of course, he understood the importance of the formalities. Starfleet wanted to be sure that each officer placed on board a ship was in the right place at the right time, both for the good and safety of the Fleet but also the safety and well-being of the individual officer. Rian wondered where this particular counselor’s line of questioning would take him. He didn’t particularly feel like he had any skeletons in his closet that would prevent him from doing a good job, but certainly the pressures of space could bring forward unexpected psychological symptoms.

Arriving at the counselor’s office he paused for a moment and then reached out to thumb the door chime. He then waited for permission to enter.
