=/\= Ljg Embers here bridge! Main engines and axial controls are offline, warp core is stable but non-reactive for the moment. We got major structural damage along the port saucer and port nacelle. Multiple plasma conduit overloads across all decks, with major disruptions of the EPS grid as well. External sensors arrays are offline. For whatever struck the port saucer and nacelle all breaches are currently showed sealed and force fields are holding. Life support took a beating and is at 90% status and due to the EPS interruptions is decaying on a slow curve.” There was a pause as the woman took a breath and cleared her throat. “..Sorry bit of smoke down here yet, bit of good news the all transporter systems are online and functional.” She added then.

“We are damn near dead in the water out here!” Zunara called out, nerves rising in his voice.

-Lieutenant Zunara: Chief of Security-

“Calm yourself Lieutenant, we aren’t out of this yet,” Aaron said, though he felt anything but calm inside. There were too many questions left about what was going on, and not enough answers.

And with that the ships computer reported the shields at 0% they were now adrift in a slow tumble with not eyes, and no shields. As reality began to sink into the crew, the computer returned some good news. “External Sensors online” the computer called out over the bridge.

Mr Centauri GM extraordinaire

Demil threw the forward sensor view on the viewscreen and a rear view on his own console, overlaying analyses of any radiation or exotic particles detected.

Lieutenant Demil Lis
Chief Science Officer

Viveca kept one ear trained on the officers doing work around her, curious as to what their situation was, but continued to focus on stabilizing Lt. T’Sai.

~Viveca Arlander~

“What do you see out there Mr. Lis. I need to know what we are dealing with.”

Capt Foley - CO

Breaking through the static again Lieutenant Embers spoke, =/\= Bridge! Embers again, power fluctuations are running rampant, we’re swamped down here to run damage control and several cadets are in total panic or non-responsive. Also got informed that chief engineer Balks took a console to the face from a blow out up by sickbay and is out of commission. I’m assuming command down here to try to get things better sorted! Give me a moment I think we can get external viewing sensors online. Embers out! =/\= she said.

OOC: Note she’s talking about NPC cadets fyi in case anyone wondered, ala like in wrath of khan during the attack....

=^=Coo what you can to stabilize the ship Lieutenant. The last thing I want is to make things worse by blowing up in front of them.=^=

As much as Aaron was wanting to protect his crew, he was quickly realizing that there was very little he was going to be able to do in this situation. There were to many unknowns, and the ship was barely holding together.

As the screen flickered to life what filled the screen was shocking, where the conduit had been now stood a ship so large that the challenger could easily fit inside it. The computer was reporting a length of 3000 meters, 1300 meters wide and nearly 80 decks high. It was long and slender with a large dome in the middle of it, it appeared to be slowing and turning back toward the Challenger, no weapons could be detected but the sensors could not seem to penetrate the hull.

Aaron stared at the screen as it came to life showing the massive ship. As large as it was, he was actually shocked that the Challenger was still in one piece.

Have a look

OOC: Link pic is not working!

OCC: odd I’ll check to see if it’s public, I’ll get it over to the CO so we can post it on the MOTD.

Current status getting power to the engines is about two hours,

Full power to the ship and shields two days best guess if it’s even possible outside dry doc.

The alien vessel began to slow as it over shadowed the challenger. With a lurch a tractor beam began to pull the ship in.

=/\= Bridge, Embers here again, getting full power back to the entire ship and shields.....probably looking at 2 or so days at best guess....probably are going to need a dry dock to get the major damages repaired and the major EPS and plasma conduits damages fixed. But on the flip side I should be able to bypass those damages to get power back to the engines in .....twoish hours. =/\= She reported.

The door slid open to the Main Bridge. “Sir, Cadet Denali Neddleberg, reporting as directed.”

“Take your pick Cadet,” Aaron said not looking away from the screen.

He looked to ascertain the work that needed to be done. Denali had never experienced this much trauma at one time. There would surely be worse to experience so he just had to be ready to do whatever was needed. He came to the first wounded person and examined them with the med kit.

He pulled out his medical tricorder and began to determine how extensive the damage could be. “Just lie still here. We dont need you to move and cause more damage to your systems. You are alright, I am here with you.”

Cadet Denali Neddleberg, Doctor

Mr Centauri GM extraordinaire

“Cadet, when you have a moment over here,” Viveca called, “Lt. T’Sai is injured and unconscious, I recommend we get her down to sickbay, but I have her stable for now.”

~Viveca Arlander~

“Understood.” Denali prepared to take Lt. T’Sai to sickbay maing sure they didn’t endure more injury.

”==^== Cadet Neddleberg to Sickbay. One injured and unconscious incoming. Please be ready. ==^==”

Cadet Neddleberg, Doctor

“Alright, tell me what you can about that ship out there,” Aaron said to no one in particular. He didn’t recognize the design himself, but the scientist in him was intrigued. He wanted to know who would have built such a massive ship, and what were they doing out here. From his standpoint, a ship of that size usually was a colony ship.

=/\=Acknowledged Neddleberg. We’re ready.=/\= Rox’s voice came over the comm, steady and sure.

Lt. Rox, Chief Medical Officer

As the ship loomed closer it was clear that it was on an intercept course. The challenger adrift and slowly tumbling on all three axis was currently helpless. And energy surge was building near the under belly of the ship.

Mr Centauri GM extraordinaire

=/\= Rox to Cpt. Foley. Sir, I thought you should know, there is some kind of presence out there. It feels… female. It connected with me briefly. Now it’s just…it’s hard to explain. Like it’s watching, but not seeking. It was quite strong.=/\=

Lt. Rox, Chief Medical Officer

=^=Are you still connected to it? Do you think it’s any threat to us?=^=

Capt Foley - CO

Lt Ruby Embers - CE

Mr Centauri GM extraordinaire

=/\=She broke contact, Sir. I’ve tried again, but with no success. I’ll keep trying.” In the background they could hear the nurses and medical staff hard at work with patients streaming in. “I didn’t sense anything aggressive, but the contact was quite sudden and painful at first before it disappeared.=/\=

Lt. Rox, Chief Medical Officer

=^=Let me know immediately if you regain contact Doctor. Though I have a feeling we are going to meet whoever is over there soon enough.=^=

Capt Foley - CO

=/\=I will Captain. Rox Out.=/\=

Lt. Rox, Chief Medical Officer

Lt Ruby Embers - CE
A Minute after she replied all who heard the conversation forgot about it, maybe it was the heat of the moment the distraction and the chaos of what came next.

With a sudden lurch the Challenger stopped its rotation, even with the inertial dampeners mostly functional the sudden stop caused people to grab for the closest support. The Challenger was dwarfed by massive ship as it pulled it closer and closer.

Mr Centauri GM extraordinaire
=^=Sickbay to bridge, Doctor Rox just disappeared in a flash of light after reporting feeling unwell, I’m continuing to treat wounded down here with the rest of her team,=^=

Aaron sit bolt upright. =^=Do what you can Commander. We’ll work on finding the Doctor.=^=

“Are sensors functional? Did we get anything?”

This day was going from bad to worse. The last thing he needed was for crew to start disappearing.

Capt Foley - CO

” Sir, I ran a diagnostic again to be sure, one minute she was there in sickbay, and the next gone, but there was no transport or energy signature that suggested some sort of beaming had occurred” said NE at the science station.

The Challenger was now about 1000 meters from the hull of the ship, sensor show a large opening forming in the bottom of the other ship.

Mr Centauri GM extraordinaire

Aaron sat back heavily in his seat. “Keep searching. There are only so many place a she could go.”

There was only now thing left to do, and hopefully would work. ^=Attention all hands, this is the Captain. Secure all stations. I don’t know what we are going in to, but we are Starfleet, and we train to explore the unknown. Keep your eyes open, and stay safe.=^=

Capt Foley - CO

As the crew secured the ship, and prepared for what was to come, the crew also frantically tried to get the systems back under control. The alien vessel pulled the challenger toward the bottom of the ship and eventually created some sort of soft dock with the up 5 decks. Loud clanks could be hear as something latched onto the surface of Challenger.

Mr Centauri GM extraordinaire

“Running continuous active scans of the alien vessel,” Demil reported, “10 second refresh rate. Perhaps with a docking port open we’ll be able to ascertain more details.”

Lieutenant Demil Lis
Chief Science Officer

(OOC: Anything new we can detect? Even just material composition of the alien ship?)
