<snip>She looked at the doctor and gave a little snort. “You are not joking,” she noted as she thought about the questions. She had just been in a conference with three thousand others scientist from around the federation. “I have not really been able to go anywhere other than earth and starbase 21 since I started this project” she stated. “But that said I was at the conference with thousands of people who likely have been on the far edges looking at science things”

LT Cmdr Dr Lanna T’Sai“Well all those people would have gone through checks of their own, but anyone in particular stand out? The star base is very good about screening anyone, so probably not.” Ilena smiled reassuringly. “Alright take a few deep breaths for me.”
” No one really, more just thinking out loud” Lana said with a snort, and then took in a few deep breaths. He lungs were clear and seemed very healthy. Senor readings would reveal the same, she was in peak physical health.
“Apologies Lieutenant,” Cadet Jethro Avant said as he walked into the sick bay from the medical lab that was an offshoot of the main bay, “I got caught up in running the analysis that you asked to be done on Ensign Hiro’s blood scans.” Jethro stopped to put on a light turquoise medical lab coat before walking up to the Chief Medical Officer. “There were no signs of the Ferian Flu pathogen anywhere.” He handed Lieutenant Rox the isolinear chip with the analysis data on it.
Ilena finished the scan she was doing and then turned to Avant. “Ah thank you, Cadet Avant. Excellent. If you will take care of Lt Max T’sai. He needs his onboarding physical,” Rox nodded toward the waiting Lt.
Ilena offered the Cmdr a hand to help her sit up. “Do you have any concerns you would like to discuss today?”
She thought for a momment. “I have been getting a few headaches here and there, but it’s likely just stress.” she noted.
“Hmm, headaches are very uncommon now. Now that medical science has charted the brain and have an understanding of the nature of pain, we know that headaches are not just common afflictions. I’m going to run a few mores scans,” Ilena said. “Just lay back for me again.” She turned her diagnostics for a complete neurological scan and brain scan.
Lanna smiled “As you wish” she said laying down on the bed, she smiled. “So am I a lost cause doctor?” she joked
Scan’s would reveal that she was in realitivly good health, though there was a sign of a stigmatisim in the left eye that could be causing some eye strain.
“Hmmm. You are showing signs of an astigmatism. When was the last time you had a full eye exam?” Rox asked.
Lt. Rox, Chief Medical Officer
Lanna closed her eyes as if responding to a sudden change in her ability to see. She thought for a good long moment. “It’s been a few years I think, it’s not something that normally comes up in the busy medical exams going from ship to ship” she noted. “Happy to do one now if the headaches will go away” she chuckled.
“Alright, if you will guve me just a moment.” Rix walked away and returned quickly with a cart holding the necessary equipment. “Alright, just olace your chin here,” Rox pointed to a chin rest, “and keep your eyes open. I’ll do the rest.”
One by one, Ilena performed the following to check T’sai’s eyes: Visual Acuity Test, Refraction TestVisual Field Test, Tonometry, Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), and Corneal Topography.
After passing the data onto his department head, Jethro walked over to where Max T’sai was waiting on the biobed for a doctor’s attention. “Welcome aboard!” He said smiling warmly and with the natural charm that had had since he was little, “Let’s get you all checked out and cleared.” Jethro motioned for Max to lie down on the biobed as he turned on the medical scanner. His eyes focused on the vitals screen as he talked. “So, I am assuming by the last name that you are related to Commander T’Sai?,” Jethro looked down at the PADD in hand that had all of Max’s history on it. “How are you feeling? Have you been ill recently?”
- Cadet E. Jethro Avant (Doctor)
Lt. Rox, Chief Medical Officer
Max smirked, “We are one big happy family” he said lying down on the bed. Max records would show that he had sprained his ankle a few months back but other than that his scan’s would show that he too was in great physiscal health. “I feel great, other than i’m looking forward to a vacation” he noted. His records would show too that he was around part vulcan.

The Human-Denobluan doctor smiled, his warm grin wide. “Ah, I know something about large families myself,” Jethro said with a chuckle as he looked over the scans while checking Max’s records. “I have seven older siblings myself. Four sisters and three brothers.” The cadet took out his medical tricorder from his lab coat pocket and removed the flat Medical Peripheral sensor from the back of the device. The sensor beeped as Jethro scanned over the ankle that Max had sprained checking to see how it healed. “How’s your ankle been? Has it given you any problems?” the cadet asked. “I know it’s been awhile but sometimes there can be flair-ups.”
- Cadet E. Jethro Avant (Doctor)
Max laughed a little, “I work with my family, which honestly is nice most the time” he stated and thought about the ankle. “Come to think of it, it’s still a little stiff after I get done with my workouts.” he noted, sensors showed that the ankle had healed nicely and it was likely just adapting to being used again.

LT Cmdr Dr Lanna T’SaiDr. Avant chuckled briefly about Max’s statement about working with his family. “Ah but, believe me, if you were half-Denobluan, then you would know it is the other slim part of the time that makes the difference.” He gave T’Sai a big Denobluan-style smile as he looked over the scan of the ankle from the tricorder readings. “From the scans, I see your Peroneus brevis muscle, the middle muscle on the outside of your ankle, still seems a little stressed and stretched,” Jethro looked up at Max, “Just means that it’s still experiencing tension and taking a little longer to heal from the sprain.” He explained to defuse any worry that Max may have developed. “I just going to give you a local hypospray of 2 ml mix of Terakine and Metaxalone, for pain and muscle relaxation.”
Jethro took a hypospray and inserted the medicine mix then pressed it down on the outside of Max’s ankle. “It only lasts for 4 hours should be enough time for the muscle to reset.” When the hiss of the hypospray stopped, Jethro looked up at the part Vulcan. “What parts of your exercise routine put stress on your ankle?” Dr. Avant asked with a raised eyebrow as he put the hypospray back.
OOC: (Apologies for being AWOL, I thought I had counted the days correctly when I went on vacation)

OOC: Are these names of tests that have come through the star-fleet universe and such or are they manufactured by the individual?
Sorry if I’m being a goober LOL
Denali thought about his short time aboard the Challenger. He was sure glad to be on board and able to explore his own interests and his ability to serve aboard such a great ship. He listened to the thrum of the engines feeling the vibrations and such aboard the ship. The thoughts were short lived though as he came back into focus realizing that he had a job to do.
He examined his instruments as he spoke to the Lt. He looked for any signs of any maladies that may have occurred as he scanned the patient.
OOC: Not really bumping this at all. Just felt the desire to post a little more information.
