Vincent walked slowly through the now-quiet medical bay, his hands resting casually behind his back. The soft hum of the ship’s systems filled the space, a stark contrast to the chaos that had just subsided with the recent churn of cadets and crew. The once-busy atmosphere of hurried examinations, frantic check-ins, and final clearances had given way to a calm that felt almost foreign after the hectic days behind them.

He paused near one of the diagnostic stations, idly inspecting a bio-scanner that had seen constant use during the last mission. The mission itself had been trying—a scramble to address medical emergencies while dealing with the unknown dangers of an unfamiliar region of space. There had been injuries, close calls, and a sense of uncertainty that had hung over the crew like a cloud. Yet, as always, they had come through. The cadets had performed well, some showing promise, while others had revealed areas for growth.

Vincent’s gaze drifted across the bay, taking in the empty biobeds and neatly organised medical equipment. His mind wandered to the next mission. What would it bring? Exploration? Diplomacy? Or another unforeseen disaster that would put his staff to the test once more? He found himself hoping for a calmer assignment this time, though he knew better than to expect it. Life aboard the Challenger rarely afforded such luxuries.

As he moved toward his office, lost in thought, the soft hiss of the door opening behind him caught his attention. Vincent stopped and turned, curiosity piqued, as he watched a figure step into the medbay.

The person who entered sickbay was Cadet John Forster he had puzzled face as he said “sorry sir I am Cadet Forster I just got on board and need my blading physical” he said. This cadet was 5’11 with short dirty blonde hair and gray and green eyes. His body was fit and slim he had a par of glasses on also.
