Ashford made his way down the corridor and he felt like the walls were closing in on him. Sometimes he thought that he made decisions way to fast, and could put a crew in danger, so he was trying to calm himself down and tell him that everything would be fine. He was going to try to focus his mind into this so that he would not screw anything up. He found the counselor’s door, and walked in. When he walked in, he said, “Cadet Ashford reporting for psych evaluation.”

-Cadet Ashford, Science-

Pilar happened to be passing by as Cadet Ashford was about to enter the counselor’s office. She noticed his tense demeanor and decided to introduce herself. “Cadet Ashford, CommanderHalcyone” Pilar said as she extended her hand toward him. “How are you settling in? You seem a bit on edge. Are you nervous about your psych evaluation?”

As Commander Halcyone walked near him he felt the great adrenaline rush. He thought, this is the commander of the ship, I better not make any mistakes! “Um…” he nervously stared to say, “Greeting commander. Everything is going just fine so far. I am nervous for this evaluation, I need to know if my mindset is good enough to serve along side you.”

OCC: STF is not working on my desktop anymore for some reason, so I am now using it on my phone which is a bit harder!

-Cadet Ashford, Science-

IC: Pilar maintained a reassuring smile, sensing Cadet Ashford’s unease. “Don’t worry too much, Cadet. The evaluations are meant to ensure you are placed in the correct role. Lieutenant Commander Dar is understanding, and we’re here to support you. You mentioned your mindset. May I ask if there was anything specific about it that is makingyou nervous?”

Thank you, Commander. I am not too nervous about anything in specific with my mindset, but with something as big of a job as this, no my opinion, it’s hard not to be nervous.

-Cadet Ashford, Science-

Ashford shifted his weight, wondering if he said the right thing. He tried to keep his composure and straight face, but he did not know if it was working. Ashford realized he probably should not have mentioned to his CO about his mindset, and he wondered if Halcyone was starting to question if he was not fit to serve. Stop overreacting. It’s not that deep, Ashford reassured himself.
