After Cadet Ashford had left Lis’s office, he started to make his way down to the CMO’s office. Now that he had met one of his senior officers and got an assignment, he felt a lot more comfortable aboard the Challenger. He was about to meet another new superior officer, and he wanted to make a good impression. As Ashford approached the door to the CMO’s office, he straightened out his uniform to try to make a good impression. When the door opened with a swoosh, he had a small flashback to entering Lis’s office, and told himself, everything would be fine, and he would get to know Dr. Phylax. When he walked in, he greeted Dr. Phylax. “Hello, Sir. Cadet Ashford reporting for a physical,” Ashford said. He started to get nervous again because he did not want to say anything wrong, but he reminded himself everything would be ok.

The Doctor seemed to be preoccupied as James entered the room. He was standing beside a viewport in the portside wall, seemingly reviewing something, or at least he looked to be looking down at something. In-between the two, centered in the room was a desk, which sat in a standard arrangement with two chairs on one side and one chair on the other; there was not much other decoration inside of the room. The Doctor himself had a grayish pink skin, he stood in at 5‘9. His back was turned showing that what hair he had was somewhat long. The man softly muttered to himself as he had his back towards the cadet as he made his approach. When James spoke the Doctor turned to face him and blinked, unrecognition flashing in his eyes for just a few moments before he nodded and gave a smile. “Welcome aboard Cadet Ashford. It is nice to have new young minds onboard.” He said and offered the cadet a warm smile.

As the words registered more to the man he turned to face the cadet, which showed that he had a PADD in his hand. “Well thats good, lets go out in to the medbay and hop on a biobed for your baselines then.” He said as he tucked the PADD underneath his arm and started to head towards the door.

The Cadet started to move toward the biobed. He strongly hoped that he was in the proper condition to stay onboard the Challenger. As he was doing this, he smiled back at the doctor, feeling welcome in sickbay. He hopped onto the biobed and waited for the readings to start coming through.

OOC: Sorry that I have been gone so long, I had a vacation and forgot to declare LOA then I forgot about this all together, but now I am back and will post regularly.
