Snip of Doom

“Uh,” the helmsman replied as he typed away on the control panel before looking for help over to the science station. That NE did a few more tapping before looking back to the helm, giving him a flirtatious wink before returning to her own duties. “It looks like sir there is some activity along the boarder regions. Standard patrols, some freighting traffic crossing the neutral zone but nothing that would indicate foul play. There is one minor nebula though on our way there that I cannot seem to penetrate with our long range sensors. Might be able to get something if we get closer.”

GM Wombat

Casen saw the exchange between the two. He looked over it knowing it was just human nature. “Ok. So it seems that everything is mostly normal. I wish they would tell us what we are transporting. It would take off a lot of stress. So what now, Captain?” He looked to Weir.

Lieutenant (j.g.) Casen CoS

“I’m not sure why we don’t take a look at the nebula..” Captain Weir stated. “After all, it is on our way.. and we are explorers.” Samuel was hoping that a little assignment would help relieve the tension that was slowly beginning to build within the crew.

“Helm, lets jump to warp 5, set course for the nebula, and stop just outside of it.” The CO ordered, “If our scanners can’t penetrate it, then a probe should be able to.”

Weir (CO)

The helmsman taps in the course correction and punches it to warp 5, sending the Challenger cruising along towards the nebula. “ETA two days, sir,” NE Helmsman reports as he continues to monitor the situation. “No other vessels detected, nothing on Comms.”

GM Wombat

“Well. Now we wait.” He sighed. “Hopefully the scientists can find out what’s in the cargo.” He started to walk to the turbolift and said under his breath, “They stick us in a metal container and tell us go there and do that.”

Max walked back onto the bridge shaking his head, this was going to be an interesting tour.

“Well Captain, hopefully we won’t have to interesting of an experience here soon. We don’t know what is in the container, except that it has a power supply, and hopefully won’t explode.”
