Haroon looked at Aaron for a second, before looking back at Mr. Greene. He whispered “I don’t know, but something here feels very off. I’m trying to figure it out.” He tried to sound calm but there was a hit of tensity in his voice. Whatever was off, it was bound not to be good.

Kylie’s eyes turned towards the Aaron and George. She frowned slightly her face showing some worry before her eyes turned back towards Greene and Rice her face slipped back to its normal controlled blank look. “We are here to observe right? So what would we be able to observe… closely?” She asked her face showing some interest for a moment.

Greene shot Commander Rice an unhappy look. Clearly he wasn’t thrilled with being a tour stop in the first place but now he was being asked to do demonstrations. “Perhaps I can find something simple you can observe, but I must insist that everyone not touch anything.”

“Ever transfer anything to the challenger Dr. Green? ” James asked curious about what he would tell the group, he stood at attention as he awaited the answer from the doctor.

Reynold was taken aback. “Why on Earth, Jupiter and Mars combined would I be doing anything on your ship? You only just got here, didn’t you?”

Commander Rice’s brow furrowed. “I’m sure the cadet didn’t mean anything by it,” she said, shooting Haroon a stern glance.

“Sorry doctor I just wondered is all,” james either just struck a nerve or the ne in nine forward was mistaken, but he found this interesting indeed.

Kylie snickered a little before she turned her gaze directly towards Reynolds. “Well I would venture that we are not the first crew on the USS Challenger. Nor would I want to wager against the odds that the starship may have been docked here at Jupiter Station before.. Mayhaps my friend here is trying to ask about the past. I certainly don’t know how long you’ve been station here Doctor. But things of the past, can tell us of the future.” She said giving a small shrug.

Greene took in the cadets with a bewildered expression before moving off towards a door inside the lab. “I still don’t know what you’re getting at, but if I must endure this little tour, come, let’s get it over with…”

Swiping his hand across a biometric lock, Doctor Greene stepped through the door and into what was clearly an even more sophisticated lab. In the center was a chamber set on a platform surrounded by consoles. The chamber itself was a metre and a half high and half a metre in diameter. “People in space encounter all sorts of phenomena that can wreck havoc on our bodies. This chamber allows me to examine these effects on organic and non-organic materials.”

Cadet black watched in curiosity, as the doctor entered the room. Then he with even more interest, observed him enter the chamber.
James was paying close attention to the situation.

Commander Rice gazed intently at Green. “Perhaps, Doctor, you could give a small demonstration?”

Greene tried very hard not to scowl at the first officer but he gave a grudging snort. “Sure, why not.” There in fact were many reasons why not, but why would that matter?

Stepping over to the side, he fished out an orange from a box and held it up. “While I can demonstrate this with non-organic matter, it’s best demonstrated with organic matter.” Moving back to the chamber, he opened a hatch and set the orange inside. “Now, I’m going to create a micro-subspace shift within the chamber and we can observe its effects on the orange. Anyone want to take guess at what we might see?”

“ The orange to travel somewhere you want it to go,via a sub space corridor. If I’m correct Dr Green.”

Kylie looked thoughtful for a moment. “I would gander that it would cause distortions in the matter, which could be just visual… or I suppose it could alter the taste… or make it inettible I would imagine… you say that and I am only able to think of the accounts of the NX Enterprise inside of the Delphic Expanse.” She trailed off after a moment her eyes flicking between Dr. Greene and the orange her thoughtful look grew more intense.
