Aaron was going through the messages from Command when one came in that he had been waiting for. As he read through the reply a smile appeared on his face. This was one of the best parts of taking over as Commanding Officer of the Challenger, getting the opportunity to promote one of the cadets on his ship.

Capt Foley - CO

Haroon had been admiring a piece of artwork that James Black had given him when he heard the captain’s voice on his communicator. But why was HE being asked to report to the observation lounge? He could only wonder.

=^= Acknowledged sir. I will be there.=^=

Whatever, he thought. The captain’s orders were the captain’s orders. But it still perplexed him why he was supposed to be there. He guessed he’d find out.

Cadet George Haroon (Science)

Pilar arrived in the observation lounge at 0930 on the dot. She was already aware of the purpose and this whole process seemed routine to her at this point, although she was sure the graduating cadet would absolutely view it as a milestone. Before the others arrived, she took a few minutes and looked out the window of the observation lounge, admiring the millions of tiny specks of lights in view, then she took her place and waited for the others to arrive.

Dar was in his office decorating when he got the call. Taping his combadge, =/\= Roger that Captain. I will be there. =/\= Walking in to the Observation Deck Dar looked around first for the food and then for others already in the room. Finding both he nodded to Halcyone. “Greeting Commander. I love these things. Reminds me of my time and I always try to make the cadets experience a special one as well. How have you been?”
