Haroon caught his eye. He nodded once and instead of going back to looking straight ahead, he looked around the room, trying to figure out what felt wrong. He knew something wasn’t right.

Cadet George Haroon (Science)

OOC: Thank you for your patience. I’m back now, though it might take me a few posts to find my rhythm again.
IC:
Commander Rice gestured to the man with a mop of ash blond curls and three solid pips on the collar of his sciences uniform standing next to Lt. Williams. “Cadets, I’d like to introduce you to Doctor Reynold Greene. He’s a medical doctor and has a PhD in physics. He’s one of the foremost researchers in spatial anomalies and we’re fortunate to have him with us,” she said with a completely pleasant smile.

Greene grunted. “Of course you are,” he said.

Rice continued to smile, though it was ever so slightly strained. “We’re doing a tour of the facilities and as Captain Alshoi explained earlier Commander they have the chance to shadow different researchers. Today is your lucky day.”

“Fantastic,” Greene deadpanned and turned back to the screen that him and Williams had been looking at with the results of the scans from the poor Ensign Morton.
Haroon chuckled inwardly at this. He knew the feeling from high school.
“Any questions for Doctor Greene?” Rebecca asked the cadets.

“Yeah. What experiments are you currently working on?” Haroon asked with a smile. He knew this personality type well, he’d had it back in high school and so did a lot of people in his class. Still, he hoped to get a straight answer to his question without too much hassle.

Cadet Brecker turned her eyes to study the faces of each of the people from Jupiter Station in the room. She quietly turned her eyes to the Dr last. She seemed interested in hearing what he had to say, and what they would potentially get their hands dirty with.

Greene gazed with amusement at Rice, hiding a thread of irritation. He wasn’t some show pony to be paraded about and his work was too important for such pointless conversations. “Most of it is classified, but I can tell you I study the interplay of subspace on objects, both organic and inorganic. Starfleet goes dashing off to places and getting itself into enough trouble that it seemed like a good place to spend some time.”

James listened to Dr. green as more of the puzzle became unveiled. He began to think , “ yes doctor how big are the objects you use.”?

While the attention was focused on Dr. Green, Aaron discretely approached Haroon by the side and tap his shoulder. “What’s wrong George”, said the Lieutenant in a calm voice. “Is everything okay ?”

Lieutenant Aaron Williams - CSO

Doctor Greene shrugged. “Depends. Somedays I’ll use something like an orange or a hyperspanners. Other days we work with larger objects. Cargo containers. Hell, we’re even looking to take the experiment further afield and test reactions on an asteroid.”
