Sitting down on the other side Aaron let himself relax slightly as he thought over what Alshoi said. “I believe this is where I’m supposed to debate you on who has the best crew,” Aaron said with a small grin. “While I’m proud of the Challenger and her crew, I have to admit she is not the newest ship in the fleet. It would be good for the cadets, and the rest of the crew, to get some time seeing some of the latest and greatest. And… a chance to learn from some of the up and coming experts in their fields. You know, the whole different perspective thing.”

Aaron was definitely intrigued by the idea himself. He was still a scientist at heart and was curious what sort of experiments they were conducting here at the station.

Capt Foley - CO

“Exactly,” Alshoi said. “Now we can handle this however you like, but my suggestion would be mixed groups. Even a security cadet can find something interesting to consider what talking to some of the scientists. And if there is anything you need from me to make things run smoothly, just tell me. Though I will give you a friendly warning. You’re cadets and even others in your crew will definitely want to check out Doctor Greene’s subspace research but honestly he’s a right pain in my ass and I wish you luck. Just try not piss him off too much, or else he come complaining to me and that’s never fun for anyone.”

“No, I like the idea of mixing it up a little bit. Sometimes everyone gets a little to comfortable with their normal groups, it’s nice to keep them on their toes every now and then,” Aaron said with a chuckle.

“I so agree. And you’d think it would get exciting being so close to the comings and going of Earth, but honestly we’re just far enough from Earth that we’re not exactly everyone’s favourite R&R spot,” Alshoi said with a smirk. “It’ll be nice to have some different people around for a bit.”

“And I might have to check out his work myself. I promise not piss him off, too much.”

Alshoi’s ebony eyes twinkled. “You just like living dangerously, don’t you Captain Foley?”

Just then a call came through Foley’s commbadge.
