O’Hara smiled and nodded his head as he passed by other members of the crew. He had just checked in with his Department Chief and had safely packed away his belongings in his new quarters aboard USS Challenger. The tall Irishman strode through the decks, making his way from the security station on Deck 9 to his next appointment on Deck 12. He was still trying to get used to the damned turbo-lifts, but they were necessary to traverse his various posts. Life as security officer required a fair amount of walking. And he needed to be assured he was in peak physical condition before he even thought of doing his first shift and patrols. Eventually, he reached the belly on the beast and made his way towards the sick-bay.

“Hello there” O’Hara smiled at the Medical Officer manning the reception. “Cadet James O’Hara, I’m here for my mandatory physical.”
